Most gyms offer a free trial period, see if you like it. You will definately not be working out alone, some gyms have great group fitness classes that are very motivating. There are pros and cons to both, but choose the one you will stick to and just do it.

 checking in, tomorrow the week is up. I made my goal of tracking food each day and stayed reasonably close to calorie goals. I also made each day of exercise, had a reduced work out one day because of a late practice for my son....still a win. Looking to add another goal for this week, thanks for the supportive…

I am day 4 of meeting all goals, return back to work after a week off, so will have to really focus on finding the will and time for my exercise goal. I had a thorn/rose moment at the gym yesterday. I go to the body sculpt hour at 24 hours, been going to the same class since February. Missed a few weeks and got there after…

I just had a serious talk with myself after stalling with no working out and no food tracking for a few weeks. I've set the goals of: 1. Working out 1 hour a day. 2. Food Tracking everyday and staying as close to calorie goal as possible. I'm on day 3 and am 3 lbs down on the scale...this just means my time off was more…

You have to have some food for energy before a workout or you will bonk, thats an old school term. I'd eat a light breakfast of fruit and then the protien shake.

Hi Cara, If you are new to MFP, you are going to love it! Great food tracking and the community posts and blogs let you know you are not alone. I've been on for just about a month, but have been serious about my fitness since December. I'm at a bit of a stall, lost 10 lbs and seem to be stuck! Today I amped up my cardio…

I try to look up foods in the Mfp database before deciding what to eat or cook. If you went over , don't beat yourself up, this isn't a race. It's about making better choices each day....you get another chance tomorrow. Keep it up.

Good for you! You've found the best site for support and the food tracker is the absolute best. Sounds like you had good muscle memory to pick back up so fast, keep it up. I find that the best goal is to treat it like a marathon, not a sprint....just keep working and you will get there.

I am a working single mom who is losing her love of cooking. It helps me to do some big cooking on the weekend, so that I have lots of go to left overs for the busy work week. The crock pot is also my best friend, coming home to a cooked dinner is the best. Weight watchers has some good recipe ideas for the crock pot, I…

My favorite saying is sometimes you don't get a second chance to make a choice. You have made a choice and by choosing to take action, you will see results. Good luck to you on your journey. I'm new to Mfp, too. Friend me if you like, I look forward to watching your success.

You are the only person who contols your life...you can take it back. Put yourself first, it's hard with kids and husband, but try to carve out a little time to work on you. You will get stronger, feel better, and live better. Weight is usually not the problem, it's the result of other problems. Hang in there, you can do…

Is there a way to view the video online, or do you have to get a hard copy DVD?
