Hey, welcome! I just graduated this past July but it took me til Sept when my daughter was back in school to get serious. I love using MFP on my phone - makes it so much easier to log and so much harder to skip logging, but I love to get the connections from the site since everyone is so motivating. :) Ange (AceH826)

Your RMR is your Resting Metabolism Rate - i.e. the amount of calories to just "breathe, pump blood, grow hair, blink, - to be alive" Your Daily Activity Burn is the amount that given to "move" but does not include exercise Your Energy Amount is the estimated calories needed in order to do breathe and move AND do P90X. My husband said they're too scared to because they're afraid we will take it the wrong way. He says: "You look great!" He's afraid you'll hear: "You look great, now, (but didn't before)"

Today's Day 5 for me -Legs, Back & AbX... I'm also following P90X calorie guide and will be trying out some recipes soon. As much as I was hoping to see some results asap the book (workout book) states that stuff will really start happening towards the end of week 3. Week 3 isn't too far away and I'm liking how I feel and…

I think you need to watch your DVDs and determine which ones suit your fitness level but is still challenging enough to get the ball rolling. The Body for Life for Women workout dvd I think is a great beginner workout that I've personally have seen results with (my mom has it now), and I also have the 30DS (well all of…

Think of fat cells like a balloon A) you can't lose them because you're genetically altered to have a set number of fat cells... B) (most important) you can SHRINK them.. When balloons deflate they lose inches. You're losing inches (aka shrinking your fat cells) and are building your muscle. Muscle is more dense than fat…

I so know how that feels and I've woken up in the middle of the night hungry. So I've gotten in the habit of eating two oranges 2 hours before bed time which seems to help. For those times that I wake up I have a swig of OJ but if I have to get up more then a couple of times I'll have a banana.

Have you done your measurements? You might be building muscle and losing inches - it's happened to me - my inches were decreasing though the scale didn't want to cooperate.

First I think it all depends on what you like... You can always get those snack baggies or re-useable containers to put serving size anything to take to work. Nuts for protein, veggies, fruits, are all portable, it 's just taking the prep time at least once a week so they're easy and ready to go. Also finding healthier…

I use mine in a recipe I found called the Green Monster. 8-10 oz Lite Vanilla Soy Milk 1tbsp Chia Seeds 1 Scoop of Protein Whey Powder (I have Vanilla) 1-2 cups of freshly steamed Spinach 1 Ripe Banana Blend, add a couple of cubes of ice and YUMMY! (You'd think the spinach would throw off the taste but it doesn't and it…

Try the Couch to 5k training program (a search on line will pop one up for you). It has training for both treadmill or road running. Training in a walk/jog cycle will help you to build up your endurance helping you to run longer and a way to commit to is is to sign up for a 5k 9-12 weeks away from when you want to start…

Hi, I just joined up today and your post "spoke" to me; especially the part about not having support. I have friends/family who attempt to encourage me, but it's not the same as having someone who understands because they're trying to go through it, too. If you're interested in buddy-ing up I'd hope to help…
