  • I started in June and quickly dropped 12 lbs. I fought to get the last 3 off but I've been stuck ever since. I've stuck between 210 and 212 for months now. When I start to get frustrated by the lack of progress I pull out the tape measure. While my weight isn't changing at all my measurements have been going down. The…
  • I don't have to sabotage myself. The doctor does it for me. "With PCOS and at your age it will be a lot harder to lose weight". This was her response to my complaint of being stuck after loosing the first 15 lbs.
  • Excessive thirst and sweating can be signs of diabetes. Regardless I would recommend seeing a doctor.
  • It may be the change of exercise. I know you said you weren't exercising but you were walking, for hours, at the amusement park. I doubt you were "walking slow".
  • I base my amounts off of pre-cooked weight. That's how it's done in the restaurants. (if you order a 6 oz steak it will note that that's the pre-cooked weight). I also find this easier for me because I put the precooked amounts into my "recipes" section since I'm cooking for my whole family. I'm also guilty of trying to…
  • I drink the hot chocolate or the Earl Gray tea. I wish my office would get more of the teas. I don't drink coffee.
  • I'm 5'3" as of my last doctor's visit. My original goal was 130 but my MFP is set for 115, which is considered within the "average" weight for my height. I was always heavy so I wanted to give myself a buffer to see where I really good go - without going to the other side.
  • I count water, water with Crystal Light or Mio, and Lipton unsweetened iced tea - sweetened with Spelenda. These are the items that I drink that come up as zero calories. Juice, cocoa, and other drinks I don't count as they count towards my calories.
  • I'm not a fan of exercise. My mind gets bored and starts to chide me about all the other things I should be doing. I find that exercise works best if I find a reason to do it. ie I walk to work instead of drive which gives me 20 minutes of walking every day.
  • Welcome to the site. I've been here a few weeks now and am loving it. Feel free to add me and we can encourage each other.
  • We use provolone and add green peppers to the Philly cheesesteak. It's great in a wrap for less carbs.
  • Getting married - 34 C Nursing - 34 to 40 D (depending on which pregnancy) Post nursing - 40 A Just for the record this is an impossible size to find. I would do without a bra but my nipples are particularly long and poke through clothes. So I usually wear a size 40 B with "chicken cutlets". Talked with the husband about…
  • The Spawn are 16 and 9. The 16 yo is 6 ft tall and almost 200 lbs. Not worried about it his father is 6'1 and his uncles are 6'5. If given the option he'd eat only meat. The 9 yo is 4'5 and under 60 lbs. He's my vegetarian wannbe. Half the trick of feeding kids is just making it fun. I know you said you don't eat pork but…
  • Got the diagnosis from my OBGYN on Tues. She's referred me to another doctor who is supposed to call by the end of the week to set up an appointment. I'm looking for general ideas in the meantime.
  • Make sure that your setting the right amounts of food when you eat. That was something that screwed me up the first day. I put down 1 cup of something when I really ate 2. It can make a big difference.
  • Personally , if I have extra calories because of a particularly large work out then I don't eat them back. I make sure that I've eaten at least 1200 for the day. I don't worry about it after that. YMMV Note: I go to 1200 because my issue is usually not eating enough and getting stuck.
  • Never had an issue with FF or with chrome. I do like the way Chrome does add on's better than FF but that's mostly just personal preference.
  • I have a Droid. Love the app - it's free. I'm cheap I only download the free apps. :) There's a running app and "map my route" for droid as well.
  • I was eating 800 to 1,000 a day. I was stuck. Upping the calories to 1200 and eating back my exercise calories I've lost almost 6 lbs. (the ticker says six but it's more like 5 and 1/2) in two weeks. There was one day were I burned off 800 + in exercise so I didn't try to eat all of those back, but in general I eat them…
  • It's based on your weight now and the weight you want to be. Did you list your activity levels for work when you signed in?
  • If the flavor is to strong just use a bigger glass of water. That's what I do with the Crystal Light. I have 2 of the Mio drop flavors but haven't really tried them yet. I tend to drink Lipton Tea - unsweetened with splenda when I'm home. Another thing with 0 calories. My water bottle is at work.
  • I use the Crystal Light To Go packs. They're for an 8 oz glass but I put them in my 24 oz water bottle to dilute them more. They are a God send for me as I hate - which is not a strong enough word - the taste of water. They have 0 calories.
  • With minimal exceptions, I won't give up my Dirndl, I pitched everything that didn't fit when we moved in 2009. That leaves me with 3 pairs of pants, 3 skirts and 5 pairs of jeans. I don't get new clothes until I get back down to a 14. Although my weight has been steady in the 215 to 220 range my sizes have ranged 14 to…
  • A lot of restaurants will let you order a "lunch portion" at dinner time. These are usually smaller size options. If they won't give you a lunch portion start your meal by cutting your items in half. Once you eat the pre-cut section stop eating and ask for a take away container. I'm lucky to have a teenager who will eat…
  • 100 ish lbs to go been here about a week tomorrow - so far 3 lbs gone. Like you, I'm looking for more people to bond with.
  • LOL I love my Croc's. But then again most of mine aren't the bubble style shoes with the holes in the top. I have a pair that look like regular sandles and 3 pair of Mary Jane style. Spandex pants/thick tights if your pairing it with a shirt that doesn't cover your butt. The things were designed to be worn under long…
  • Under My Home, select Goals. It will show you your existing goals. At the bottom there's a button to change your settings. I don't know about the other thing.
  • For what it's worth this is exactly why I'm here. I dieted and upped my exercise for a year and came out heavier then I went in. I've only been here a few days but I'm starting to see results. I know that I have a hormone issue that contributes to my problems but I'm not going to let the weight win. Hang in there!
  • I don't do well with "exercise", so I put it under another category. Fast paced laps in the living room while talking on the phone, walking instead of driving where ever possible, squats to get the laundry. As for food intake,I find that I don't idly munch if I have to account for it. I do have to say that overeating isn't…
  • I've been working on finding ways to sneak in exercise. Like doing laps around the living room while I talk to my family on the phone, or having a prepped grocery list so that I can literally race through the aisles. On days that my husband picks up the kids from daycare I walk to work. Good luck!
