That's awesome, thanks for telling me! MFP originally started me at 1100...which was horrid....I've just been afraid to go up because I thought it would not help. But if everyone says to eat....I guess I will! *Thanks to everyone else as well. Also as another side note, I haven't reached a point where I have been too weak…

It has been working so far! I had my 1 month weigh-in on Sunday and it was like 8.2 pounds or something like that. I suppose my goal is not all that realistic, maybe? This was the first time I was ever REALLY hungry though, it's not a common thing!

I just posted this on another forum but here is why I am confused at what to do: I want to lose two pounds a week. That's a 7000 calories a week deficit. My BMR + daily exercise is about 2400. So, I only eat 1300-1400 a day to create this deficit. How will increasing how much I eat not hinder my weight loss? Also thanks to…

Call me slow, but I still have trouble understanding this. For me, personally, I am trying to lose two pounds a week. So, that means a 7000 calorie weekly deficit, or 1000 calories a day. My TDEE is a little above 2500. So that means I should be eating 1500 calories daily to achieve a 1000 calorie deficit. I eat around…

Any types of veggies! Used to hate them, especially raw. I toss em in a pan and "fry" them in their own juices - I'll usually squish the tomatoes to make a base from that. Add some seasoning and it's a bowl full of food for like 45 calories! Yogurt and granola - the vanilla is pretty bearable fish! a lot of tilapia and…

Awesome! And I love your dress in that second photo!

Wow, you look awesome! I'm a chocolate lover as well and invested in Luna Bars - 180 calories, filling, a lot of protein. And...some flavors are chocolate! :)

Hmm not a bad idea :p

I'll definitely start the lunges/squats thing. It's just tough because I have really bad knees - I had Osgood- Schlatter growing up so I can't do a lot of bending at the knees or squating with weights for fear of ripping ligament or something. I'm really torn with the eating back calories thing! My uncle who is a fitness…

Nope, I haven't been. I was told before that cardio was enough - clearly that was bad advice!

I really appreciate this post. I am so torn on what to do - my uncle, a fitness trainer, keeps saying NOT to eat the calories back that I burn exercising. Which at first I thought made sense - because what is the point of exercising if I'm going to eat what I lost? I am 21 years old, 5'8" and weight 159 pounds. I exercise…

Hi! I just started REALLY using MFP about two weeks ago. I am 5'8 and currently weigh 159 pounds. My goal weight is 135. I currently eat 1200 calories a day and exercise off about 700 calories daily. My uncle is a fitness trainer and says NOT to eat those calories back that I burn, but that only nets to 500 calories a day…
