I tend to agree that there needs to be a physical compatibility in every romantic relationship to a point. If you refrain from having sex, that may or may not present a problem when the "big day" arrives. I feel like I would need to know everything about the person I'm going to marry before I make that commitment. That…

I was born in AR. In Conway. I lived in Mountain View for the first years of childhood and build many fond memories. I moved back when I was 18 and lived there another couple of years before moving back to FL for family reasons. I love it there. I try to visit as often as I can, which I admit isn't very often. I'd be happy…

Yes, and she kicked me out 3 weeks before Christmas a couple years ago. I'm better off.

I love fish so your question is a bit subjective to me. Maybe you just don't like it and no amount of seasoning is going to change that. Something that I do is poach the filets in coconut milk. It seems to take away some of the "fishy" and keeps it very moist.

Whatever happened to gym shorts and a t-shirt?

At the risk of beating a dead horse: food scale and measure everything. As a side note, leaving 77 calories "available" isn't going to help you. It's about food QUALITY more than QUANTITY and calories are only a fraction of the whole scheme.

I fell off the wagon. Then it backed up over me and ran over me again. I'm back at it though. Feel free to add me if you like.

I'm happy to help any way I can. I can always use more friends to keep me honest. Add me if you like.

Not sure why there is a separation between people who eat meat, people who won't eat meat but will eat eggs and people who don't eat anything but plants and processed foodstuff that does its best to look like meat.

Depends on the perspective. If you follow the thought that calories = weight and less calories = less weight then I guess it's fine. But if you subscribe to the thought that the more natural the foods you eat, the more healthy you can be then I'd say, yes, it sort of defeats the point.

Chicken. Seriously. I know nomming on chicken as a snack sounds nuts. Follow me here: Grill several boneless chicken breasts (season how you like) and cut them in to bite-sized pieces. Divide each chicken breast into 2 (two) portions and put it in a zip-lock. Now you have a 2-3oz(ish) high protein snack that doesn't sound…

I don't know about "plus size", I've always just called myself fat. Anywho. I started at 360 but I'm on my way to 250 (as my next goal - 200 ultimately) and am happy to do what ever I can to help. Add me if you'd like.

Protein is your friend. Nuts (almonds, walnuts - NOT peanuts) or meat. Yeah, I said meat. I grill a few chicken breasts, split each one into 2 small baggies and have several 2oz(ish) snacks action packed with protein and yum.

Say that I would single-handedly destroy them to make myself sound like a badass but secretly cry alone in the shower. Seriously, they serve a purpose of motivation to some degree but in general they just didn't get enough attention from their mommy.

One of my favorite's is to whip them up in a home made mayo. Add the avocado and pulse the food processor a bit more til it's creamy. PUT THAT STUFF ON EVERYTHING!

My #1 take-to-work snack right now is carrot sticks and guac. I love it! I'm interested in kale chips but I'm obviously doing something wrong when I try to make them.

There are more than a few people on here that can testify that this works... if you make it work. I'm one of them. The real key here is to not get hung up on the numbers - if you went over by 2 calories last night don't post it on the forums and ask what you should do - you're gonna be fine. also Don't stress if your…

Well done. Quite eloquently put.

If you aren't hungry - don't eat. Amazing devices, our bodies. Unless you are a lot of calories under and make a habit of doing it every day (being 400 short is not a big deal) then you shouldn't worry about it. Good luck to you!
-
Well, it is certainly more effective than "knitting".

Thanks Rachel

Please, don't think this was targeted at you. It's just something that I have seen pop up from time to time on here and it kind of irks me a little to think that people seem to think that they are cheating the system but only lying to themselves. Good luck to you!

Not to be a jerk here but I'm gonna sound like it - who cares? If people want to micromanage every percent of a calorie and obsess over whether you burned 10 or 15 calories "checking email" then so be it, to each their own. BUT I'd rather just go out and play with my son or go for a walk or lift some weights and KNOW I…

The general consensus will be that Subway is loaded with sodium and other crap and is no better than having a Big Mac because calories are all that matter. BUT In reality (my reality, anyway) making a habit of replacing a junk meal with a better one - even if it's not a great one - can have huge psychological impact and…

Anything that is high in protein and healthy fat will keep you full longer. I go for a few (usually 3 eggs cooked in a little bacon fat or ghee and a little fruit for breakfast. If you find you are still hungry, try adding a handful of almonds or some almond butter.

You look fantastic! Well done!

Which book?

Am I happy with my progress thus far? Yes.. Do I look like a CK model? No. Do I annoyingly answer my own questions? Absolutely. The bottom line is you've lost 100+ lbs and you should be stoked about it! You didn't get where you were over night, you certainly won't get where you WANT to be over night either. You are doing…

That sucks. For real. I was "off the wagon" for the past 5 months and I'm paying for it as well. I gained almost 30lbs back after losing 100. I was so disappointed in myself but I know that I did it once, learning as I went, so I can do it again having the knowledge that I do and it will be awesome. We got this!
