Nice job! You are and inspiration to me, I am just starting this since March this year and hope to have results similar to yours by around the new year. Congrats on the accomplishment so far!

Too much of any one thing is not good for anybody. Whether is be carbs or meats or ANYTHING you put in your mouth. Balance is better. This is not from a book or a medical expert . Just my experience. No one is gonna be swayed to one side or the other here.Everyone is gonna believe in the research that supports their own…

Aww! ED! You are so sweet. Thanks for the encouragement!

Good job on the clothing find. I haven't been a single digit since my age was a single digit.:grumble:  I hope to get there like you someday. Congrats!

You can do it! I wish you success!

I usually eat most of them and am losing so it must be working for me. If I don't eat them I get incredibly hungry and am prone to a binge so I try to eat them.

Well said! Everyone's goals are important whether it be losing 10or 100lbs ortrying to gain weight or gain muscle ,exercise or just logging food. Health and well being is the common goal!
-
I usually do a cheat day or a couple cheat meals a week. I have found when I do a cheat and go ahead a log calories that I am usually just over or just under . I just can't stuff it in like I used to on a cheat and I like it.

That is great! I have a friend who lost over 70 lbs while her husband was deployed for a year. Makes for an extra exciting reunion for both!!

Don't give up! This plan is not a quick fix and 2 pounds in 3 weeks is really pretty good! It is a slow process just give it time and stay off the scale as much as you can. The scale can be a great discourager. Weight fluctuates a lot during the week so try to limit to once a week weigh ins. Slow and steady gets the job…

Heck no! The only one who knows is my doctor and of course myself. Why would he need to know?? And I lock the bathroom door when I get on the scale nekkid. With three kids , husband and one bathroom I better lock the door or they burst in or knock. 'Mom, you in there?"... never fails. weight is a very personal thing to me…

Yep! I think it has to do with hormones and fluid weight. I only record my weight every 3 or 4 weeks or so. Just to discouraging to do other wise. You ain't alone darlin'~:flowerforyou:

Yes! The best thing to do is just be helpful and kind and supportive to everyone here. If our common goal is health and not just "lookin' hot" (which is kinda nice if that happens ) then we are doing something right just by being here and logging in every day. That in itself is a positive. It's not a competition to see who…

That is not too bad. To lose one pound a week you need a deficit of 500 a day so you prob won't gain any thing but water weight tomorrow. Drink plenty of water in the next few days and get right back to it tomorrow. YOu will be fine.

Have your thyroid checked out.

Hello nursefreda! Ain't this site the best. I have been here for about 9 weeks now and I love it. Glad to see you are liking it too.

Good job! YOu inspire me!

I log in everyday (morning)even if I end up not logging all my food for the day. Sometimes I get busy with life and don't get back to it. May not always do it perfectly but if I 'm here I know I am making progress.
-
My gosh that sounds good!!! Definately gonna try this. Thanks!

That's how I do it. I love Chinese food.Yum enjoy!

Oh I know about these all too well~They hurt so bad ! One MFP friend gave me some good advice that helped me overcome them. Trace the alphabet on the floor with your big toe several times a day.Do one foot and then the other.Move your ankle and foot not your leg. Helps so much! Also do some stretching exercises for…

Hey that sounds like a great idea! Finding the little things that work for YOU is a big part of this journey. Everybody finds things that help keep them motivated and on the right track. Good for you!
-
I don't count it either unless it is an activity that really gets you working like heavy gardening or yard work.

Boggles the mind don't it?? Watching the Biggest Loser and during commerical break Jenny Craig ad with Valerie and a Kentucky Fried Chicken ad... Go figure.:grumble:

If you go under 1200 calories on a continued basis, seems like you would not get enough nutrition from food. Your body really needs the calories for energy and to maintain muscle. If Idon't eat enough exercise is much harder for me. Try a handfull of nuts if you have a lot of calories left over at the end of the day. They…

Kinda reminds me of the movie "Groundhog Day"
