It can...sort of...be shredded. Just put it in a food processor and pulse a couple of times. I make single servings of chicken salad for sandwiches this way.

IMHO......the best you could hope for with this is to clean your bowels and run your blood sugar up. Any more than a few days of this and your body is not going to be happy....at all. I very seriously doubt you will have the strength to do "maintenance and toning" if you do last as long as you plan to. Just my thoughts.…

Op. Are you talking about a temporary juice fast? Like maybe...juicing veggies and fruits for a few weeks? Or are you talking about shoving all of your foods (pizza, steak, veggies, etc) into a vitamix and drinking it....for the rest of your days on earth. You haven't made that clear.

^^^ Yes. Thank you.....I forgot that :) (I didn't actually mention a deficit though) But you do maintain much more with adequate protein and lifting than if you were doing cardio alone. (which if I'm not mistaken burns lean muscle whether in a deficit or not)

The way I understand it.... Lifting burns fat and BUILDS lean muscle. Cardio burns fat and BURNS lean muscle. So....it ultimately depends on what you want to do. Builder bars are what I have used (not exactly wonderful ing wise...I try to stay away from soy most of the time) They have been the best ing wise when the $ is short. We know your opinion of them, but, what would be your choice when strapped for cash?

Oh yeah. I should add that strengthening my legs and bringing balance to stabilizing muscles has helped TREMENDOUSLY. Now I'm left with slight tendonitis symptoms (from the damaged tendon that didn't heal correctly)

I have similar issues. Patellar tracking disorder (my kneecap scrapes against the walls of the groove it's meant to ride in) caused by an injured tendon, caused by over doing plyo while being overweight sighs...and not strengthening the supporting muscles first. Only choice for now.....build strength in knee supporting…
