Pretty much all diet advice ever given to me by a trainer. It's not their fault, though, they seem to be incapable of wrapping their heads around my goals.

Yes, that can happen. Try massaging your muscles with arnica gel after your soak in the tub.

I think the estimates are high, so I never enter the full amount of time when I log exercise.
-
I agree, it is really annoying for those of us who cook at home or eat fresh food a lot. I don't have a solution. I suck it up and grumble while I enter all my ingredients.

Don't worry about "starvation mode."

I cleared up my skin by cutting out dairy.

I can't remember the last time I ate dinner BEFORE 7 pm. Usually we eat dinner between 9 and 10 pm. Tonight we're having Spanish tortilla and green salad with mustard vinaigrette.

Girl, it is NOT easy to pull off those stripes and ruffled bottoms but YOU look AMAZING in that bikini! Congrats!!!!

Solidly weigh under 125, even taking into account monthly bloat and occasional splurges. To lose an inch or two off my thighs and butt.
-
Yes! I get skeletal arms and shoulders, a flat tummy, and still my butt and legs are huge! It is so depressing. The only time I've ever been even remotely happy with my butt and legs, I was on a pretty extreme diet that was nowhere near sustainable for maintenance.

First off, it may help your skin to significantly reduce dairy in your diet. As for skincare, I like Peter Thomas Roth and Boscia.

Yes, me. I'm almost 5'6 and weigh about 130-133 pounds. I usually net under 1300 calories per day and it's just really hard to get any weight off past this point because it's been my body's set weight for a few years now. I am just not in an "eat more to lose more" place. My body fights me for every ounce.

Try pumpkin puree instead of applesauce.

Interesting... so probably I have lost those 2 pounds. Ha, I didn't want to have a scale at home so I wouldn't obsess over the numbers but clearly that has no affect on my obsessing!

Don't think of it as all-or-nothing. If you need to ease into it more gradually, start with one meal at a time. Or one snack at a time. Try to log what you can and just make yourself a note in that day if you felt like that day wasn't the "start" day, and I think after a bit you will notice that you've started without even…

Years ago when I was a serious dancer, I had to really watch my diet and I got in the habit of either blaming it on a food allergy or on my doctor. "Oh, my doctor wanted to restrict this to see if my such and such would get better. I can't eat sugar, SORRY BUT THANKS!" *big smile* "Oh my gosh, I am so sorry but my doctor…

I think you should get off this site and into a recovery center or otherwise under a professional's supervision. And I don't mean this in a snarky way. I hope you can find the help you need.

I'll make it easy for you. Gone With The Wind, FTW.

Cute! Go with the matching bottoms.

Well, clearly your anecdotal evidence means that these circumstances apply to everyone...Remind me again where you got your PhD in physiology.

Are you joking? Not learning to listen to your body's cues is probably how most people became overweight in the first place. Also, I have NEVER understood why eating breakfast is supposed to curb hunger. I ALWAYS over eat and am far hungrier throughout the day if I eat breakfast. I usually just have coffee and my first…

Actually, you can't always just have a dress taken in, depending on the cut and style. I leaned this the hard way and there was nothing that could be done about my dress. I could have bought a second dress with the amount I spent on alterations trying to take it in properly. I look awful in all my wedding pictures, wearing…

I don't think it's useful to essentialize but yes, I think your BF is taking advantage. Not because he is a man but because he is immature. Which is not an exclusively male trait.
-
There are other nutrients besides protein that are important for your health and diet. Bananas have some of them!
-
Are you going to be able to maintain that weight loss until your wedding next year? I think you should be very honest and realistic about what is do-able here. Also, I think you should start thinking about what sort of dresses will flatter the body you have as well as the body you want.
-
No, absolutely not. In fact, binge eating disorder is its own separate DSM diagnosis from bulimia (which is binging with purging).

1, 2, and 4 are essentially the same dress. 3 is not my favorite - horizontal stripes across the hips are hard to pull off.

I do this, sorry! I avoid being in the sun like I'm a vampire or something, and I really would prefer not to walk halfway across a sunny parking lot, thankyouverymuch. Especially when I'm walking back to my car carrying bags. No, thank you. I like to save sweating for workouts, not while I'm dressed and in public.

1. What does it mean to 'eat clean'? Do u do it and does it make a difference? To me it means eating fresh, whole foods with minimal processing and additives. Sometimes I do and I think it makes a difference but isn't sustainable for me due to my lifestyle. 2. Eating after 7pm. Do u or dont u? I do, and I think it is…
