I am trying to do the same. But I am told to avoid processed carbs as well because they turn into sugar. This has not been easy and I have slipped up a couple of times. Would love to keep up with you.

I think it depends on what you like to do. My step mother loves Leslie Sansone's DVDs. I love Jillian Michaels but also love Taebo. More intense for me. I also really love ZUMBA.

I feel miserable. I have had the flu since Sunday. I went to the doctor today and am going to give it my all to do tomorrow.

My name is Ruth Munoz. I am 30 years old, married, no kids. I started this month doing Zumba as well 2 to 3 times a week, which I love. January, with my schedule it looks like, I will only be able to take 1 to 2 classes a week. I have done 30 day shred but not the whole month. Its my goal!

I think you have great ideas Tammihart. Do you want to start the thread?
-
I like that advice, push ups are hard but, it is something you have to work your way up to. Does anyone have an idea of what else we can do to motivate each other until January?
-
I agree with changing the DVD each week. That way, you won't get bored and I have heard trainers say that it helps to burn more calories because your body constantly has to change with what you do.
-
anyone who is interested for the new year to try the 30 day shred from Jillian Michaels, join my group to work at this together!
-
You can add me as a friend too. I am for the first time trying to use this website to its fullest and it helps out so much! I am trying to exercise at least 3 times a week and watching my calories.
-
that is tough! But it sounds like a plan!

30 day shred, Jillian Michaels

I am new to doing this but, I think we can post how we are doing, and check weight and inches weekly. From what I understand, with the shred you get toned! Open to ideas though.
-
Actually, where is the group page?
-
I want to sign up! I will check the group page.

I have it and am up for the challenge. October 1st sounds perfect.

I have learned to adjust to this way of eating. At first, my body rebeled with it, but I now have adjusted quite nicely. I eat it in the morning to have the energy for the day but, avoid it after 5 so it isn't stored fat.

these are helpful. Thanks.

I admit I have skipped it sometimes. More because I am embarrased of myself that day. But the right thing to do is post it. That way you see it and it can help you make adjustments, and see what it does for your week.

I actually just spent the last two months exercising and dieting with a trainer who worked with me using this system. I was at 285 and now am down to 228. Its worth looking into. But, I do stress that its hard and takes time. Patience is important. I do feel better than I have in a long time and am more careful about what…

thanks. I am more of a night person so, I probably will start with nights and see how to work my way up.

-
Thanks everyone. I do feel good!
-
I started it yesterday but, I would like to join. Will we keep posting here or add as friends?
-
I started day one yesterday. It kicked my butt but i liked it. If you want, add me as a friend. I would like to have someone to compare how I feel with it. Its intense but I think the outcome will be good. I do alternate with the gym and walking as well, because I don't want to get bored. Oh, and Zumba. It feels hard but,…

1-2 lbs a weeks is a good steady way to loose weight. Just work hard at walking, water, and calorie intake. You will be so happy with your results.
-
welcome. that is a great weightloss. I hope to see those numbers. Grocery shopping was so different today. I hope to get better at eating good things so that posting isn't embarrasing. You can add me as a friend if you want to. Ruth

I keep reading that. I am going to have to look into it. Thanks.

Don't give up. I like to set up small goals for myself. My first, get out of the 200's. You got there. Way to go! The little victories make it so much better to go through the rest. Post and keep up with people like us on here how are doing the same things and give support.
