It's sounds pretty outdated to me! I am following the diet guidelines in NROL which seems much more up to date.

I am a past WW member too! I also changed after they did the PP system. I'm almost a week in to my reset! Good luck!

That's great to hear! I am almost 1 week into my reset and anxious to see results.

Glad to hear more positive changes!

Your TDEE cut is 1870-which you should eat daily. If you workout and the calories you burn make you NET less than 1640 (Your BMR), then you'd eat enough calories to NET your BMR of 1640. So if you workout and burn 300 calories, that leaves you a NET of only 1570. So you'd want to eat back 70 calories to make sure you NET…

Have you followed your moderate activity level the entire time?

Try to read through all of the stickied posts. It's a lot of information, but you'll have the "AHA" moment once you read through everything.
-
Thank you! That's exactly what I was wondering. I am starting today!

It's overwhelming to try to reach everyone. I helped one friend start a reset. If I can make a difference for one person than my job is done. But I do tell people to simply find this board and start reading.

Then why are there only 8 workouts? I thought we did phase 1 for 6 weeks. Ahhhh.

Gorgeous!!! I would love to do that!

I love fat free pretzels w/ laughing cow cheese wedges! It's an alternative to salty high fat chips!
-
Thanks! I was going to ask about the logo earlier today!
-
I've only done it twice! It was definitely challenging!
-
Am I the only one who feels like the finally had that "AHA" moment? I am super anxious and excited about this! I cannot wait for the reset to be over so I can get back on track!
-
I would think going once a week would be great! I try to only do 2 hard cardio days, and then 3 strength training days. Then usually a day on the weekend where I take a good long walk.
-
I am impressed! Thanks for posting that!
-
Thank you!!! Just making sure I didn't miss that and ate all that for nothing! LOL
-
Ok wait....so on days I do NOT workout, do I still eat TDEE?
-
I was going to say the same thing. Poor form can cause that pain.
-
Very inspirational! Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to be posting my success pictures!
-
Funny you should say that! I just went through and deleted a bunch of friends who eat too few calories because it started annoying me.
-
Today is Day 2 for me! I am feeling very optimistic, especially after starting to read NROLFW! That book totally trumps eveything I've always believed about fitness! I wish I would have done this a long time ago and now I realize this is exactly what I needed. I am seriously pumped!

I am about 34 lbs from goal, which seems so daunting! But, I still plan to track in MFP at maintenance once I reach my goal just to always keep myself in check! I want to make it a healthy habit for life!

Someone beat me to posting about BMR, TDEE, and the cut. You have to at least be eating your BMR daily or your body is in starvation mode, you'll be tired, etc. Even if your BMR is roughly 1600, you need to eat 1600 AT LEAST. Then if you workout and are below BMR, you eat back up to BMR. Check out this site!…

I will not be weighing myself again until June 30th. The day I leave for vacation! So a month from today really. I am doing the reset for 4 weeks. I have a friend on board with me too. I am nervous but excited.
-
Good job!!!! Great results. Makes me realize that this is possible.

Thank you! I ended up answering my own ? by reading a little further into these threads. I am going to commit to 4 weeks and see how it goes. I didn't do a VLCD for very long, so I don't think I did too much damage, but definitely need a do over and want to get this all in check.

Your TDEE takes into consideration the amount you are currently working out. So you do not have to eat back those calories unless you burn so much that you are netting below your BMR. After eating TDEE for 4-8 weeks, you can then start eating at TDEE - 15% and will see a loss. I am starting mine today. Happy eating!
