  • One of the articles I read that got me to think about taking probiotics in the first place suggested switching up brands regularly to continually introduce new strains and varying amounts into your gut. As a side note, I've only been taking them about a month or so and didn't have any digestive issues prior, but had done a…

  • Awww sorry to hear that happened to you. Don't give up though! :flowerforyou:
  • No conversation necessary (unless she initiates it), huh? Just dump her and find a willing partner. Interesting. Clearly we are speculating because we don't have more information than that the spreadsheet existed and she posted it online. However, there could be many reasons - both physical and mental in nature - that…
  • This statement just seems so sad to me. :frown:
  •
  • I know!
  • Never had it to the point of scarring before, that really sucks!
  • I do most of mine later in the day. I'd really like to become a morning person though and get workouts done early. Any tips for helping with that are appreciated!
  • The thing about reality TV though is that all of the people agree to be involved (knowing there are perks, possibly a paycheck and a hint of fame) so it's hard to feel bad for them. I doubt producers need to coerce anyone to be involved simply because if one person says no to the terms there are likely hundreds of others…
  • There have been all types of people on this show in past episodes, so I don't know if I'd make this analogy because of one episode.
  • I'm sorry you're going through this right now! :flowerforyou: There isn't anything else to say that will make you feel better, so just remember that we've all been through it at one point or another.
  •   Please stop with the attitude that all women are too dumb to distinguish between fiction and reality. That just makes you seem bitter.
  • Yes, the intro to the article is corny, still doesn't negate the basic idea though. And I don't think any woman is delusional simply because she would prefer a more traditional dating approach.
  • Not related to the main topic here, but not sending a response seems 'kinder' than getting into a conversation with or letting someone down that you know you are not interested in. This was consensus from a post a while back on here. So, don't take it personally at least.
  • Yes, this exactly!

  • I get what you're saying but, but I just think getting through that first date to see if there's even that chance at something being real would be the weird part...

  • This is a self-imposed idea though. Do you think you must wait until your kids are grown to find someone?
  • I know I'm my own reason. Not sure I would call it being 'picky' but the older I get the less time and effort I want to put into dating the wrong person - even a first date! I would much rather be alone and do things I enjoy than spend time with someone I'm itching to get away from!
  • Are you sure the woman's job is the reason she's "really cool" or could you just be reading something into that? Just a thought.
  • I agree, mine counts all steps regardless of what my arms are doing! And I also walk a lot with my dog, etc... It's a great daily reminder to keep motivated and get extra steps in wherever possible, but the best use of tracking with a Fitbit is long term information in my opinion, so an individual step here or there isn't…

  • I've had one for about a year and think it's a great tool for measuring both my exercise and sleep. However, the first one I got stopped working after a few months - but the customer service was amazing and when I explained the problem and Fitbit sent me a new one at no extra charge immediately.

  • Maybe MFP?
  • Yes! I think it's the American Heart Association (and maybe a few other health/scientific communities) that recommends getting 10,000 steps daily. For most people - depending on stride - that is approximately 5 miles. Just an interesting fact and good reminder that all our individual steps and walks during a typical day…
  • Not sure, is the store Batteries Plus nationwide? If yes, go there. The original battery in my FT4 watch died after about a year and a half. Batteries Plus changed it for around $12, with a guarantee to continue changing the battery free of charge for the life of my HRM.
  • Wow, congrats! :drinker:
  • Sounds like a personality issue (perhaps even cultural?) between your and your boss. Probably best to focus on your students and just get through the next two months. In the big picture, that's a very short amount of time, even though in the moment it may feel long and frustrating.
  • That's awesome news!! Congrats! :drinker:
  • No way, you've been in hiding for way too long around here as it is lately! Love hearing how excited you get with your animal stories! So cute!
