I think in these situations planning ahead of time is so important. On Sunday evening, make 6 - 12 hard-boiled eggs or some healthy muffins, something like that. So that you have it ready for the week. Then in the morning you are grabbing it. String cheese, yogurt, Lara Bars are also good ideas.

I enjoy strength training. I do the P90X workouts (mainly for the strength training, as I also incorporate Zumba) and look to continually increase weight. I need some 15lb dumbells.

I just recently learned that the Chargrilled Chicken sandwich from Chick-Fil-A is actually not too bad. I think it's only got like 4 grams of fat. And it's served on a wheat bun.

My 15 year son is celebrating his birthday this tonight with a bunch of friends sleeping over. So I am going to have a house full of boys. Zumba Saturday and Sunday mornings. Celebrating my birthday on Sunday at my mother's house on Sunday afternoon.

I assume your stomach hurt because you waited too long to eat and then maybe had too much when you finally did eat. That's OK...you'll know for next time and be more prepared. However, pasta is not the enemy....especially not whole wheat pasta. :smile:

Yes, really : ) It has to do with the 4:1 carbs to protein ratio needed after the workout. I personally use Shakeology as my recovery drink, and I really like it. There are tons of ways to prepare it, but I just mix with water. It is my recovery drink, my multi-vitamin, and it holds me for a couple of hours then I eat…

A good alternative to a recovery drink is chocolate milk, preferrably fat-free or low fat. (I'm also part of the Beachbody team).

600 is not the norm. I have done one round of P90X and am currently on week 3 of it again. The only time I have gotten close was doing Plyometrics, and that was not all the time. Between 400 - 500 would be a good range. I currently burn between 450 and 540...and I do wear a HRM.

I love those Kashi Frozen pizzas. I just bought the Mushroom Trio & Spinach to have sometime this week. When I have the extra calories, I can eat half the pizza....soooo good!
