Vanilla yogurt, sliced bananas, and a drizzle of lite maple syrup. Or homemade chunky applesauce..

Polar FT4...reasonably priced, and accurate! I think you'll find most people agree!

"I don't quit when I'm tired, I quit when I've finished."

iPod Touch Polar HRM Nike Reax running shoes and my food "splurges"...the more expensive 35 calorie per slice bread, Chobani yogurt, zero calorie spray butter, fresh veggies and fruit

Greek yogurt helps fill up my tummy. Also, there is a 35 calorie per slice bread (Nickels brand) and it's so satisfying and yummy. Knowing I can have 2 slices for only 70 calories thrills me...I use the I Can't Believe it's Not Butter spray (zero calories) on it, or some egg whites and turkey bacon.

I'm on week 7 and when I started I was not a runner. I'm amazed at the progress...my breathing is great, my legs feel good, and my endurance improves daily. I'm still 228 pounds, and still can do it, so I'm sure you'll do amazingly! Have fun with it!

I like mine a lot. It does okay with frozen fruit, but not regular ice.
-
I use my HRM when I do it and the calorie burn is way off (on the low end).

Eat back some of them and see how that works for you. I've had great success eating back at least half of my workout calories (200 or so calories). I've also done well eating back all of them one day and none of them the next...play around with it a bit and see what works best for your body :)

I prefer it over other yogurt...the consistency is soo good. I prefer Dannon Oikos or Chobani.

Like a lot of others, I recommend C25K. I'm on week 5 and believe me, it's been amazing.

I had lost about 30 lbs. I made a big salad in the cafeteria at work. The lady that was ringing up my purchase said, "YOU, have a salad?" I was ticked. I wanted to yell and say, "Hey, I've lost 30 lbs."

Anyone? :)

Welcome to your new life :) Best wishes to you!

Great!!! Same thing happened to me last week....2 pair of jeans I thought were way too small fit (with muffin top...lol)!

Make it into taco meat, add tomatoes, onions, cheese, and salsa and scoop into lettuce leaves. It's a super yummy alternative to tacos!

I heard someone refer to their unhealthy lifestyle as a "slow suicide" and they were not going to let that happen. I realized that by eating so much and being so inactive, I, too was committing a slow suicide. I realized my life was worth living and I WANTED to live, not let the food control my destiny. But…

Aim for 1200 net calories per day...be sure to eat back at least some of your workout calories to get to that number!

Fat free cottage cheese is quite good!
-
It also fills up your belly, making you feel less hungry :)

Just because you're getting together with drinking buddies doesn't mean you HAVE to drink a lot. Moderation...the same as you do with food. You even said "old" drinking buddies...that's not you anymore...you are a new person now with a new lifestyle. End the weekend being proud that you succeeded and got to visit with…

I do a lot of chicken in mine. You can put frozen chicken breasts in it, add a jar (or homemade if you prefer) pasta sauce, a bunch of chopped up veggies...it's so good over brown rice or whole wheat pasta. Or put the chicken in, add chicken broth and seasonsings of choice...you end up with really moist, juice chicken. I'm…

It's not exactly cheesecake, but a nice snacky alternative to cheesecake is this: take a graham cracker, break in half. Add a dollop of cheesecake pudding. Top with fresh fruit. It's quite tasty!

My main motivation will always be God. I've lived TOO long not honoring the one and only body that He blessed me with. Plus, being overweight, has sometimes made it tough to serve Him and I want to serve Him with all that I have to give. And until recently, all I had to give was a frumpy, tired body and zero…

Congrats...welcome to your new life :)

I'm not sure (I'm in Ohio and personally love the Columbus area but doubt it fits your criteria!), but I'd love to hear the responses :)

A huge YAY from me! I prefer Chobani, but I actually haven't tried a brand I don't like. I'm not big on the plain though (but I don't like plain regular yogurt either).

Nuts, peanut butter, cheese, turkey pepperonis baked in the oven until crisp, a slice of deli meat rolled up around cheese...
-
Celebrate all the successes...and I'd say that's not a little one! Great job.

Ground flaxseed, maybe some spinach, greek yogurt, PB, skim milk....
