Amazing results! Very nice job!

+1 what others said. Good workout clothes do make a difference, but don't feel that you need to go high end or name brand. I find that the stuff from Target works just fine. In fact, it fits me better than some of the other higher end brands do. Look for the tech fiber stuff. It's typically made of a material design to…

I don't know what has people love running while others can't stand it. I can only speak for myself and say that I tolerate it. - I love that it gives me the best bang for the buck; there is nothing else that I do that burns more calories for the time spent doing it. - I love the fact that I'm healthy enough and fit enough…

I do think that there is such a thing as too thin, but I don't think that you're at that point. I don't think you need to lose any more weight, but I agree with you in that you look fine.

It's definitely not normal. Maybe your shoes are strapped on too tightly? That's the most obvious thing that I can think of. Short of that, maybe there is something with the way your saddle fits that's pressing on nerves causing problems down your leg. You can try and stand up every few minutes to see if that makes the…

Post two kids, that's amazing!

You look amazing! Great job!

I, like others, force myself out the door and tell myself to workout for at least 10 minutes. I can't remember ever stopping there, but I have cut longer workouts down if I'm just not feeling it that day. Whatever the case, I always feel better after my workout is done regardless of how I felt before I started!

+1 for the Speedo Vanquishers. That's what I use now and I love them. For a long time, I would swear the old school "swedes". The kind with the plastic eye sockets with no cushion that you have to put together. They don't look comfortable, but they are very much so. And they don't distort your view as much as a lot of the…

What a change! Great job!

Not fit enough to be bragging about being fit, anyway. :) The Tour de France starts this weekend. I don't think you'll see any of those guys climbing over those mountains at 6'1" and 250!

Those are great! *bump*

It's really hard to say and I think only you're going to be able to judge what is moderate vs. what is vigorous. Different people swim at different paces so you're going to have to go on your own perceived exertion as a gauge. I personally never enter anything as vigorous unless I'm working out in zone 4. At that point, I…

I'm not sure what your training volume is like, but assuming you're burning more calories than you're taking in you should lose weight. I think the problem with setting up for 1/2 lb weight loss a week is that you have to really be dead accurate in your calculations. That comes out to an average of 250 calories deficit…

How about walking? If you're just looking to lose weight and burn calories, walking should fit the bill perfectly. You might have to walk longer to get the caloric burn that you're looking for, but certainly it can be done!

I, personally, wouldn't break up the long run into two smaller runs. I think it defeats the purpose and won't stress your body enough to get to the distance that it needs to run. That being said, I agree with the others in that one week of three longish runs seems really excessive. I believe that one long run a week is…

That sounds like bonking to me. There is definitely a difference between the point where something is hard and where you want to give up vs. true bonking where "the lights go out". I've have the former happen to me regularly, but the feeling tends to go away after a while. I've only bonked a very few times. Usually after…

That's one of the reasons that I prefer to workout by time instead of distance. As you get in better shape, you'll likely do that same distance in less and less time. But if you always commit to working out for your normal 70 minutes, it shouldn't really matter!

You look great! Nice job!

A new you! Nice job!

What an awesome transformation! Truly incredible!!!

Congratulations on hitting your goal. You look great!

Unfortunately, there really isn't any way to spot reduce fat from one area over another area. You just have to keep working at it to lose weight overall and it'll come off according to your body's own schedule. Usually the first place that your body puts fat on is the last place that it'll take it off from.

I'm not so sure I buy the correlation of heart rate to calories burned. It just seems to me that there are ways that heart rate can be elevated that have nothing to do with working out (playing poker, general stress, holding breath, etc). When I swim, for example, I know that my HR is high mostly due to controlled…

I don't eat all mine back. I think MFP does a pretty good job of tracking calories, but it seems a little on the high side for estimating calories burned, IMO. I try and stay at least 500 calories under what it says I can eat back (never going below 1200). Also, I think it's been shown in several places that most people…

+1 for spot on advice. Everyone has unique needs and your shoes should reflect that. Running shoes definitely don't come in a one shoe fits everyone variety. Go to a specialized running shop and get in the shoe that is right for you.

That is amazing for just three weeks!! Nice job.

Total waste of calories if you ask me. But to each his own!
