  • Good for you! Great idea to measure like once a month, to see results when the scale may not budge as fast... woo hoo!!!
  • That is an awesome NSV, good for you - love those little pick-me-ups along the way.... GOOD JOB!! :flowerforyou:
  • Awesome scale victory! Good for you, great accomplishment. Best of luck to you in your healthy lifestyle journey!
  • Good for you.... noticing right away! Love those little NSV's along the way - just want to remind you too, to take your measurements now, because later if the scale doesn't move - that was a huge NSV for me when it showed in my waistline! Good for you!!
  • LOL.. ^ this is what I was going to say - so I will add this: measure yourself every month! (results don't always show on the scale)
  • hehe... she's right, that is not short, I'm 5' 2" and my goal weight is about 129 (soft goal) - will evaluate once I get there. I am not small framed, however very curvy & hour-glass shaped! Ann Taylor Curvy's are great fitting jeans, by the way... LOL
  • You do look awesome! I tend to agree - the second pic outfit for a sports bar... but you look hot in both! Maybe a more form-fitting top with the jeans and heels as someone else said? Have fun!!!!
  • Have done the normal things: forgot to set the alarm the night before, forgot I needed gas on the way to work, etc.. but if I'm late nowadays, it's usually because I lose track of time sitting here, dilly-dallying having my morning coffee, while reading these awesome stories on mfp!! ha ha love it!!
  • Kind of self explanatory but... it's NOW or NEVER for me! 47 is my current age... just done with yo yo dieting, etc... this is my lifestyle change! Happy Friday! hehe
  • You LOOK Mahvelous! So beautiful... in all of the pictures. Huge accomplishment, be proud and I bet you're loving your new healthy lifestyle! Thanks so much for posting as I love reading all of the success stories! GREAT JOB!!!! :flowerforyou:
  • One - very spoiled, but calm & well behaved 9-yr old Black Lab named Chevy - he is my son - aka 'da baby' LOL :)
  • This happened to me, but eventually it will be lower on the scale in my opinion. Don't forget, in the beginning especially, your body will soak up water and retain it to heal from strength training. I keep thinking the same thing - but unless you are really putting on that much muscle, I'm guessing it will eventually show…
  • My thoughts exactly! That's next - have seen it so many times... just DELETE and block him as quickly as possible!! They try and play on peoples emotions and next thing you know, they're asking for you to send them stuff, whatever... my Mother actually fell for this from someone from Ghana...and it took months for her to…
  • OMG... congrats! Don't ya just love those NSV's along the way?? I can so relate as it's happened to me and I love it!! It really shows you that hard work certainly pays off, right... Fantastic job and sooo close to your goal - yay for you :flowerforyou:
  • Wow... OP: I am truly sorry and really hope that you find him and he's safe. It is too bad people have to focus on winning battles for themselves when you are looking for a sympathetic ear and/or support at a time like this. I have to ck in later to know that you have found him, good luck :frown:
  • I'm sure they've all said pretty much the same thing but planning ahead is huge... I always look up nutrition info first if I can find it. If mfp does not have it, go to the restaurants website. A lot of times I try to plan in advance what I want for dinner and adjust my day accordingly. Of course you can combing your…
  • OMG I agree I am getting a little (ok a LOT) frustrated with FB lately and would much rather be on here!! So much drama... could do without it... at least on here we are (mostly) going for the same goal and support each other, not random comments on how someone's cat puked on the bed or that they're going to bed now, don't…
  • UGH!! Someone I know says this and I want to say... how about all of those Dr bills you'll be paying in the future when you are NOT a healthy person?? Oh, don't get me started on the $$ thing... it's called creative shopping and they don't want to put the time in to plan ahead.... Sorry, rant over, LOL
  • a) you can't fix or change the problem unless you admit to yourself there is one... b) I agree, people want the beautiful body, etc without the WORK - it actually requires some work, pre-planning etc! c) until they ALONE are ready, nothing will work - they will revert back to doing what they always do... I know all of this…
  • Congrats! You gotta love those NSV's along the way to keep us motivated. It's definitely something to look forward to. And I'm the same way, when I think back to when I actually wore the size I have on right now... it's kind of hard to even remember it, it was that long ago! Good for you!! Don't forget to keep measuring…
  • Hello! I am 47 yrs old, 5' 2" and currently weigh 144. My GW is 129... Good luck to you!!
  • Welcome to mfp! My advice would be to log everything, every day... add some friends if you want and read the community blogs and success stories.. it'll help to keep you motivated. There is a lot of good and sometimes not so good (true) information on here, so keep an open mind and best of luck to you on your journey! I am…
  • Oh, been there - done that! No worries, you've come to the right place. Welcome to mfp and the first day of your new beginning! Think of it as a lifestyle change... in my opinion you should be proud that you're here to do something about it. Good luck to you - there is a wonderful support system on here!! :flowerforyou:
  • First, commenting on #2 above... I recently tried curry goat in Jamaica when visiting from a Cruise! It was pretty good (fatty meat, though) but sorry I don't have a recipe - try Google? That usually works for me.... 1. having a hungry day - ugh 2. really need to step up my exercise a notch to break this silly plateau 3.…
  • That's a wonderful NSV! Good for you... keep up the great work :flowerforyou:
  • Ghost!! The Titanic... I know, cheesy :) hehe
  • Gotta admit, me too! I am so glad my hubby actually has a butt, as some guys do not... and yes, we do appreciate that! LOL Guys: Baggy jeans that hide what may be a butt under there are NO GOOD! hehe - just sayin'
  • I'm 47 yrs old.. am 5' 2" and am aiming for the high end of my healthy BMR range = between 121 and 129... we'll see when I get there. I do not have a tiny frame - I think I'm more large framed, good luck! I still have 15 lbs to go for the 129 goal so we'll see!!
