Hi welcome back, I've always dipped in and out of the site but now the mobile app is so much better and the community forums are available I hope to make more use of it and feel inspired to get that weight off again! Feel free to add me if you need more friendly help o:)

I totally agree,at 50 I´m still trying to lose the extra weight I gained thanks to a Mirena and now having undergone a hysterectomy it´s even worse despite the math!! :blushing:

It´s just a way of keeping the topic fresh and also gets it included in your topics to read later. I wondered if anyone had tried the ACV in tablet form, I saw it in the chemist yesterday and was just curious??

It´s definately not a yoga workout that will make you want to lie down and go to sleep! It´s a great workout and if you like shred then I think you´ll enjoy this too. I started to do it before I had my hysterectomy, but at the minute all exercise apart from walking is on hold, can´t wait to get back to it though and the…

Ha Ha, so very true for a lot of us would be gym bunnies, but be careful what you pray for instead.......

Don´t be too hard on yourself, this is a lifestyle change and remember life is to be lived and enjoyed! It´s not as if you go out every night and cheat on fries etc so give yourself a break! You´ve done really well so far, just draw a line under and get back on track afterall you´ve compensated with extra exercise so…

Hi and welcome to the site. I´m 50 and just had a hysterectomy 6 weeks ago only keeping one ovary so it´s too early to say how my weight loss will be affected. The good thing was that I dropped 7 pounds after the operation probably due to the size of the fibroid! So far I haven´t had any menopause symptoms probably as I…

I´m just into my fifth week since having a SAH on 20th January and searched the boards for some advise about starting to exercise again as apart from a very small amount of walking I haven´t been able to face anything yet. Thank you for posting the question and for the helpful answers :flowerforyou:

Just want to wish you well with your fund raiser Fran. I live too far away but whenever we´re back in the UK Yorkshire is one of our main ports of call as my hubs is a big Leeds United fan! You´ve done well to sell so many tickets so I´m sure you´ll soon get the last few sold, but good luck and enjoy getting glammed up too…

Good evening ladies, Just having a nice lazy time reading through all of the posts, it´ll be great when I am fit and well again and can contribute a bit more by telling you all what I´m up to in the way of exercising etc. I have been doing really well despite my lovely husband being in control of the cooking and eating…

Hi Bisland, i´ve only just joined the group on here too. 30 day shred is a good one as it has 3 levels, on all 3 levels there are easier options to follow. The secret is to do as much as you can and build it up gradually, Jillian can be a hard task master and you will feel like punching the screen at times lol!. There´s a…

I agree with all of you, dresses in particular! I always lose weight from my top half first too making me look even bigger on the bottom. But look on the bright side ladies, we pears are less likely to suffer heart problems than our fellow apples, well there has to be at least one thing to feel good about whilst we´re in…

Hi Barbie and all fellow ladies, Well February is certainly a new month and the start of a whole new way of life for me following a hysterectomy on 20th January. I´ve had the added boost of a whole 7 pounds weight loss since the op due to the removal of a fibroid. This month my goals will just be to try and maintain a…

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 8 to 10 years ago and thought the rheumatologist was crazy when he said that aerobic activity was the best thing that I could do! I find that walking helps me alot but have to be careful with any weights, I try to do 30 day shred but find I usually get far too sore so usually have to give…
-
That´s good to hear that you managed to start again, I´m so sore today but then I did do the yoga meltdown too yesterday! My knees are a problem too but I have osteoarthritis in one of them and it just decides to play up at the most inconvenient times lol ! Take care and keep posting how you´re getting on and feel free to…

Sorry I´m late replying to your post I´ve just been catching up with all of them and saw this. I also have fibromyalgia, hence the user name! I did first 3 days no bother but then suffered from sciatica and had to have a break but started again today. Sometimes you have to just be careful and do whatever you can do and…
