I think cheat days are fine if you are at your goal weight. If not, you just fooling yourself.

I don't have a husband, but dude - you nailed it. Awesome response.

I have lost 90 lbs. I went from size 38 pants to 29. I don't know how that relates to inches, but I feel pretty awesome.

I love this. Great post. Thanks!!

I found that pumpkins seeds and asparagus are very high in plant based protein. 1 oz of seeds is 9 grams. I also eat a lot of quinoa, cauliflower and spinach. All these are very low calorie density food, but high in protein and also have enormous amounts of micronutrients.

I've heard about it and unfortunately I can't offer any explanation. But I want to give you a compliment. You pushed yourself to a limit and you stayed with it. You kicked *kitten*. All I can say, if you did it once, you set a baseline for yourself and you will kick *kitten* again tomorrow. You are awesome!!

I hate to sound disrespectful and discouraging. You are looking for a magic pill. You will never find it. Everything you saying in your blog goes against the simple principles of good, healthy eating. You take the pill and your have to remind yourself to eat? How long will you last? Have you heard of term "skinny fat"?…

This way you will not be totally out of shape. Example, while on elliptical, I grab 20LB dumbbell and do bicep pulls(I am pressed for time and want to…

The before picture was taken in May of 2011. The other one was taken sometimes in July of 2013. My weight somewhat stabilized between 165 and 170. I have been at the same weight since about March of this year. From jeans size 38 into 29 is a damn great feeling. I am loving it.

3 years this coming May. I found my diet, I found my fitness, I love the energy I have at 51 and I plan on keeping my 90 LB off.
-
Also, to add - I used to be on a low carb diet and it seems to work better for weight loss. In addition to upping my calories, I have altered my diet. Why? Because I have increased my workouts and was (still am) burning good 1200 calories per day during my cardio and weight lifting training. Anyway, I have reduced animal…

I lost additional 40 lbs after increasing my calories from 1350 to 1900. Amazing, but it worked. :)

Since I went on a plant-based diet, I lost additional 40 pounds. I am too lazy to type them, but this site lists them. And they don't have animal fat and you can have them as a great snack. http://gentleworld.org/10-protein-packed-plants/

So many success stories!! Yes, there are plenty of 50+ of us out there. My 90LB weight loss is best thing happen to me in the past 51 years.

I will put it this way: no matter how much you pay for your accessories and foods, it is an investment into your own health. And it is a whole lot cheaper than a heart surgery and meds you would have to take to keep yourself alive. For me, personally moving from size 38 into a size 29 blue jeans at the age of 51 is a good…

If you want to enter strength training and count towards your calories, go to Cardiovascular section and add Strength training (weight lifting, weight training) from there.
