  • I'm struggling with weight loss stall, too. I'm so close to getting under 200!! I am focused on my achievements off the scale. 1. I did 60 pushups yesterday!!!! (on knees) Shocked! 2. I can run 2 miles in 24minutes. 7 of those minutes were walking, so I feel really good about my time. Working on cutting that down to 22…

  • Feel free to add me. I'm back after my 4th baby! She's almost 4mo old now. I have a short term goal of 25, then long term goal is a total of 50. I'm 5'7" and have been diagnosed with Hashimotos, which makes weight loss a little more difficult, but definitely possible. I've found for me 1300-1400 calories (net) works, and…
  • Thanks for the info. How much higher do you think it runs? I'd like to be accurate in the calories burned if possible. Is it like 75%? Also - how to you like the World party?
  • My goal is 2 pounds a week and I'm meeting that goal. I'm limiting my carb intake and keeping calories to around 1200/day. I also exercise 2-3 times a week...either jogging, yoga, or strength/cardio combo.
  • You look awesome!!! Keep up the good work!
  • This article makes sense to me: http://www.livestrong.com/article/321836-does-eating-breakfast-raise-metabolism/ It's says it "can" raise your metabolism, not that it definitely will. Everyone's body is different. I absolutely need to eat by 9am (I get up at 6) or I can't think straight. My husband is fine with skipping…
  • I don't know that I have RA, but it does run in my family and I have chronic inflammations. Except I get them in my eye, which is crazy painful. What I started doing is cutting down my refined sugars and that helped dramatically. I used to get flare ups 3-4 times a year and now they're once every few YEARS. Hope this helps!
  • I'm on a low carb diet, but not atkins! You can check out my diary if you'd like to see what I eat! I stay around 1200 calories / day.

  • I had the same thing when I went back to work this week. I totally forgot about the MASSES of sweets in the kitchen until I walked in to put my salad in the fridge. I just tell myself it's not worth it. Cuz it's not. I know that once I get past this first phase of my diet (I'm on 17 Day Diet) I can have a treat or a cheat…
  • I'm on a 1200 calorie diet, too -- that's just want MFP set it at to lose my weight. And it's really not that hard, IMO. eggs (sometimes egg whites) and turkey bacon and fruit for breakfast. LOTS OF WATER during the day. lunch - salad with a lean protein and LOTS of veggies on top. Zesty Italian FF dressing has a really…
  • Greek Yogurt bars (Yasso) are good - 80 calories. Also, a dessert that I learned on South Beach Diet was a 1/2 cup of fat free ricotta cheese, a couple teaspoons of cocoa powder, some sliced almonds and a drop of vanilla. Tastes kind of like a mousse!
  • I'm <whispers> 32, feel free to add. I'd LOVE to lose 30 pounds!
  • I started the diet on New Years Day. So I'm on day 4 and have lost 3 pounds. I have done South Beach in the past, which worked but this last time I did it, I got horrible headaches from the extreme lack of sugar. On this diet, I have not felt any adverse affects like headaches or anything. Doing the diet and logging…
