Oh, wow, just noticed I didn't even really state my question. My question is that if I eat the same amount of calories per day, will it help me lose weight?

The second one pretty much sums up my week. 1500 cal per day average. I guess I just need to make sure I don't eat too little calories. I feel like I should probably be getting more of a 1700 cal/day average.

Everyone's comments are very helpful!! I eat a lot of nuts, and I'm not sure if I should add more because although they have good fat, they have a LOT of fat. I guess I should try cottage cheese, and quinoa! Will add protein powder to my grocery list to mix with soy milk. :)

Hi new friend! I have the opposite problem, smaller waist than hips/thighs, so I can't help you with pants.. but when it comes to dresses and skirts, SPANX are a girls best friend! They suck in my lower tummy pooch very nicely, and as an added bonus, they hide panty lines!

beware of anything frozen, as freezing takes nutrition out of food!!! also beware of canned food, because it has lots of sodium and preservatives.

cheapest buys EVER right here... bulk bags of beans and lentils, brown rice, eggs, different kinds of potatoes, onions, bananas, cucumbers, popcorn kernels, carrots. to save more money, go to farmers markets to get your produce! it's much more nutritious than that genetically modified crap from kroger, anyway. :)

Right! I believe you can meet your goals. You're already taking the first step in recognizing you need to change your habits! Also, the ideal weight for my 5'9" frame is 165 - 170 lbs, so my goal is 170. Even at 180 I was healthy, and looked good! We're above average, that's all. Best wishes on your journey!!
