I've been on this sight for over six months now. I try not to judge people, but sometimes I wonder if people that have a general, overall negative attitude that they won't make it. I'm not talking about someone who is negative at that moment because they might have gained a pound or two. I'm talking about the overall tone…

Sounds too out there. Almost all medical professionals and other diet specialists tell you no more than 2 lbs per week.:flowerforyou:

I started my journey just counting calories. As some weight starts coming off, you will find that the back doesn't hurt as much and you will start feeling like doing something, any thing. I started out walking, very slow at first (I could not even walk a mile without being out of breath) and now I'm walking much faster and…

My personal choice is no drugs. Eating a lot of fresh fruit and vegies is the best way, with exercise. It is a slow process, but so worth it in the long run!:flowerforyou:

Sounds fantastic!

I agree this is not the proper way to do it. Have you ever noticed people who lose weight quickly (whether from pills or fades such as this one) gain it back, plus? I believe in losing slowly, with proper nutrition from all of the food groups and smaller portions. Yes, it is extremely slow in losing weight, but it will be…

Well, I got my lazy rear out of bed early today to do the Shred  . It really does help get my day started! Welcome to all the newbies to this post. We all can use support and encouragement. :drinker:

You need to see a medical doctor. Eating more sodium is unhealthy for you. Please see a medical doctor as soon as possible as low blood pressure can be as bad as high.:flowerforyou:

Good news (for me): I weighed myself Friday morning before I left town and I lost 1.5 lbs for the first week on the 30DS  Although, after the crap I ate while on this short trip, I will have to double my excersises in order to show no gain this week.:noway: I hope everyone does well on their weigh ins.:drinker:

I'm so glad I'm not the only whimp in this post. It is encouraging that we are all staying the course, even when we want to quit. I will not be moving on to Level 2 any time soon. I can barely walk as it is. As for the push ups, yes they are terrible. I don't even get close to the floor because I cannot pick myself back…

Day 4 - I'm still in a lot of pain, but I have found there is one part of the workout that I like and fortunately it is at the end so I have to exercise to get to it. It is the punches. I'm very good at it. I just pretend that Jillian's face is right in front of me and I can really get it going  Seriously, my arms…

Well I started mine on Sunday, 8/1. I'm ashamed:embarassed: to say that I could not complete all the exercises because I got so winded and my muscles were burning soooooo bad!!!!!!!!!!! 8/2 - I skipped it because I could barely walk (talk about not being in shape). Today, 8/3 - Well I did it again today. I was able…

Thank you for this very useful info. I never new what to do with my treadmill (seriously) :embarassed: . I found it so boring because all I did was walk at a brisk pace. I will definitely be doing this in the future. I will start slow and work my way up!:drinker:

I too had that issue. I went on line and search for high potassium foods. I found that I had to eat more fruits and vegetables in order to get it. Also, if you do not have a sodium issue, V-8 juice is extremely high in potassium. Milk also has a lot. I would suggest you look at my diary, but the last couple of days have…

I'm definitely no expert, but I have changed my lifestyle (I don't call it a diet). I try to control my calories more than worry about carbs and protein. But I will always pick non-processed foods (i.e., fresh fruit, veggies) over packaged stuff. I have limited my meat to 3 oz per meal. I started (March 2010) out weighing…

I don't have the answer, but I would like to know what it is.

I think that is a wonderful plan! I hope you have a great vacation.

Welcome. I too had health issues. My goal was to get off all of my "fat" drugs: BP medicine, potassium and cholesteral pills. After 28 lbs lost, I was able to get rid of all of those. I walk for exercise, although I have to admit I'm not very consistant. :grumble: Good luck to you and know that you have come to the…

My husband and I have found that the more natural the food (not processed), the more it fills us up. We eat mostly fruits and vegetables, as well as a small portion of some type of meat and yogart. I have an extremely hard time making my 1200 calories and that is before my exercise. Good luck!

My MIL just passed away in April from C Diff. I will be calling my doc tomorrow 8 a.m.
