I've never had this happen to me & I seriously would be freaked out by it. (I read it not as necessarily the same guy doing it, just as in one guy in the vehicle.) I do NOT think this is typical "guy behavior." I run 5 days a week & never run the same route twice in a row. Everyday I take a different route.

So awesome! I'm incredibly happy for you.

I use the spibelt also. It's the only belt that has never ridden up on me, bounced or moved.

I run 5 days a week. My two non running days are still active. I walk and lift those days. I lift on a third day when I only do 6-7 miles.

I do not wear them running, but I swear by them for recovery. In fact, pretty much the only time I'm NOT wearing them is when I'm running. I also suffered from Morton's neuroma last year only to have it disappear these past 8-9 months. (Thank god!) That is the most annoying sensation and can be downright painful!

What an incredible accomplishment! Very impressive!

Congratulations on your success!

I personally like the treadmill. The longest I've ever done though is 10 miles. It was raining a few weeks ago for my last run & I seriously considered doing 22 on the treadmill. But then I figured I'd feel like I wimped out on the rain, so I ran outside. My gym has TV's connected to the treadmill's, so I just watch a…

I LOVE the 30k distance. I'm fortunate the Arizona Road Racers offers one in December as a build up to their marathon in January. For the past 2 years, I've used it as a training run towards the end of marathon training. I like to have run at least one 20 miler before doing the race, but that's me.

I think San Diego is the first week of June? In the Rock n Roll series. The Arizona Road Racers has a 5k summer series. You can check them out. They have races all year with the longer distances in the winter & shorter in summer.

I'm someone that has to have a planned route. If I'm in training, I don't just run out the door & meander about. I always plan my route at mapmyrun.com. There's an option to create a route, it tells me the distance and has a little elevation map too. Very helpful website for me.

Ha ha ha! I love the advice Carson.

Yes to the hat if it's raining. I generally don't wear a hat, but I just did my last training run of nearly 22 miles in rain two weeks ago. My hat was the most important piece of gear in keeping the sprinkles out of my eyes and face.

I usually buy 3 pair at a time online, all the same brand and style. I use one pair for running 5 days a week while "breaking in" a new pair 2 days a week on my 3 mile walks with the dog.

It's definitely on my bucket list, but not this year.

Hi laurasuzanne. So, are you gonna do it in January? This will be my 3rd time doing the full. It's a very energetic crowd.

I've been running for 3 years. The furthest I've run is the marathon. I'm currently at 50 mi a week, marathon training season. Come summer, I usually do about 35 mi a week. I run 5 days a week

I'm also in AZ. It's POURING rain right now, 4am. It's a non running day for me, but last long run (21 mi) tomorrow. I'm most concerned about my Iphone getting wet. I wear it in a spy belt, so if necessary, I guess I can put it in a baggie first. I hate running in the rain. But hopefully it'll die off and just be sprinkles…

I don't run at night. I don't like it. I do run in the darkness of early morning though. I'm usually out the door by 4:30 am. I'm fortunate to live in AZ. It's never really too cold for me. Most days, I run from my house in varying directions. Never the same route for safety and sanity. I'm also one of those strange birds…

My chafing is actually from sweaty, wet clothing rubbing against my skin, not actually skin rubbing together. I use good old vasoline petroleum jelly, which some people say makes it worse, but not me. I use it in the crease of my thigh where my undies rub, where my bra rubs, and on my quads where my shorts rub in front.

Saturday long run 14 is the least but usually 16-20 Sunday recovery run 6-7 Monday non running, walk 3 mi, lift 50 min Tuesday 10 mi tempo Wednesday 7 mi and lift Thurs 7 Friday non running, walk 3 mi, lift 55 min

I bought hangers from Gone for a Run. Mine are all way too precious & important to me at this point.

My first marathon was a trail marathon at the White Tanks Mountain. I had hiked every portion of the marathon before, but never ran it. The longest I had ever run before that day was 16 miles. For my first road marathon, I did three 20 milers and three 18 milers leading up to it. I did a three week taper. I fell apart…

I'm addicted as well! I'll be doing my 5th marathon in Tucson, 5 weeks from today. Feel free to add me.

I've had success with pacers. Which half are you doing? If you're doing PF Chang's here in Phx, there will be plenty of pacers. Most carry the time on a stick in the air. Also, you don't have to talk to them or anyone. But the two I've used are very encouraging to the group that's surrounding them. Pacers are (or should…

I used the Garmin forerunner 305 for 2 years before it stopped working. I was very happy with it. I went cheaper & bought a 110 a year or so ago. I'm not as happy with it due to the charging mechanism. It truly is annoying when you think you have the pins on the pad & you find out on your next run that they weren't. I also…

I love your tenacity! You have a great attitude.

I always remind myself to smile when the going gets tough. It actually does help me. I also have a mantra that says "laugh at the absurdity of it all.."
