  • I just started low carb myself I hope to do it for a month to help with my sugar cravings, I'm trying to eat clean and low carb and I'm finding it not easy. Today so far I had a chicken patty from trader joes - clean but tons of sodium and for breakfast egg white salad from trader joes not clean but low carb.
  • I had lapband surgery 5 years ago...I've lost and maintained a weight loss of 115 pounds. My goal is to lose another 20 pounds that won't have me at a size 5 but a size 12 hopefully I'm okay with that because maintaining the weight loss is another goal. I had a slight gain myself 3 years ago when I lost my father...those…
  • I make my own green shakes some mornings or I drink a pure protein can shake. The can shake is the only one I like sometimes a protein bar too from pure protein. Sometimes I just don't have time, energy or a big "hunger" in the morning so these work for me then I have snack of string cheese and almonds later .
  • People always ask me how DO YOU FEEL now that you lost 115 pounds and I know they are waiting for me to say AMAZING!! To be honest I don't think I ever realized how big I was because I still went to the gym, I still went hiking, I still went out and to concerts and bars etc...nothing really changed was it harder to hike…

  • I basically follow the same, I try to eat more proteins and green and less starch. I'm trying it's very difficult yesterday wasn't a good day for me but today is a new day so far so good. I only stopped eating carbs because I wasn't reaching for quiona, brown rice, or steel oats it's was more cookes and chips so I had to…

  • I lift 2 days a week sometimes 3, Ilke body pump the class because it incorporates all body party. Weight lifting in women can stall your weight loss at first but you start to lose a ton of inches. You will notice it more in your clothes, hey who cares how much you weight if your a size or two smaller. Your muscles swell…
  • Actually subway sodium is killer in the high 1000 for various subs on the fit 6 grams of fat and under line.. I buy low sodium turkey at the deli because I hate pre-packaged ones... Eating out is soo hard and the sodium kills me too .. I think the suggestion of chicken and salad with dressing on the side is your best bet.…
  • On facebook I'm friends with Jillian Michaels and she gives great tips... one of them is only consuming 3 meals and 1 snack. I can't snack or eat small meals because I'm never full and I find myself constantly snacking and not drinking enough water.. I try to consume 60-80 grams of protein a day and approx 100 or so carb…
  • Bolthouse has new line of dressing yogurt dressing ... 2 tablespoons for 70 calories I measure out two tablespoons in a small bowl and dip my fork... they also have vingrettes for 35 cal for two tablespoons and Kraft has roasted red pepper that is really good too.. I use rice vinegar at times to thin out dressing I like…
  • The banana fudge is better than Dulce De Leche. I also like making the suger free - instant pudding and adding free cool whip when i want to make a larger batch it's very creamy and satisfying.
  • grating the veggies is a good idea I didn't think of that. I'm going to cook up some turkey meat, grate the veggies, and some garlic, and two tablespoons of terakayi sauce, and a few dashes of lite soy sauce. Once everything is cooked I'm going to place the mix miture inside of some lettuce - my own verison of lettuce…

  • When I had my trainer, I was told to eat a piece of fruit (small) a few hours before bed like if I went to bed at 10:00 pm approx around 8:00 I would eat my fruit, cheese, yogurt anything basically but he recommend more fruit then anything. Then of course in the morning eating breakfast early so your body isn't stable to…

  • Frozen meals are quick and easy. But I feel if I eat them too often I don't get full enough and I over eat. I try to only eat frozen meals in case of emergencies....I rather eat chicken breast and a side of veggies for dinner and lunch a sandwich or wrap. Plus I think we need to get back to eating "real" food cutting back…
