I help support a lot of people on here so feel free to add me too :drinker:

The last 10 are really painful because your body wants to store some fat for a rainy day so it will fight like hell to keep it on you. I had to really ramp up my cardio work to get through the last 10 and it took me 3 months to do it. Pretty much everyone who has hit the last 10 has found the weight loss wasn't easy. Just…

That foxed me also. Everyone here calls them cross trainers so I couldn't work it out either. Elliptical is the answer

Is it only the lifefitness machines that tie in with Polar HRM?
-
HIT work is amazing and my HRM says I burn more as well and I tend to believe it judging by how much extra I have to work. I prefer HIT on an elliptical because the higher levels really push your arms as well as your legs for an even greater burn. I believe that normal modes on the treadmill and Elliptical are about the…

A huge well done for doing so well!

I ate badly, didn't list it all on my diary because I was so annoyed with myself and lost 2lb, go figure :noway:

I really LOVE the treadmill but if I was buying something for home I'd get the Elliptical simply because you burn more, use more muscles and the intensity can rival any setting on the treadmill. Plus you also do less damage to your body. As I said I really love the treadmill but the Elliptical is amazing for home use.

4 months ago I couldn't last 15 minutes. Now I can run 10k without having to stop. The more you do it the stronger you become. It will get better and easier, trust me
-
I second the Elliptical trainer - Legs are now solid muscle, butt's the same and stomach went down very nicely

Our bodies are ridiculously clever at adapting to what we do. I am constantly having to change my routines as my body gets used to them (often in a matter of days). I love cardio work but not so much strength so I tend to do this: Day 1 - Treadmill - 10k in under 50 minutes Day 2 - Elliptical - 60 minutes on Random or Hill…

You are very lucky to be doing this so young. Your age really will help you much more than someone a lot older. You will need to do so slowly so you skin has a greater chance of falling back into place. At your age I wouldn't worry as much as I would if you were my age

Thing is though even if you try to be healthy at fast food places you can't. Check out the nutrition value on some of the salads... it's HIGHER than just having that burger :noway: There is a certain well known sandwich shop and I always chose the lightest options but even those are PACKED with sodium etc. It is really…

That is a REALLY nice feeling  I can no longer buy for my waist size (and I'm a man! :noway: ) so get my trousers mail order. I went through 10 racks and not a single size 30 unless I wanted jeans. I'm not complaining though, I love having this problem after all these years

A heart rate monitor would be most beneficial as it can calculate how hard your body is working by your heart beat. Once these are set-up for your body they seem to be quite accurate. If you do get one just make sure it is one with a strap, the cheap ones without are pretty poor at working it all out.

I try and eat something every 3 hours right up until 3 hours before bedtime. I'm never hungry because my body is always digesting
-
Good luck and feel free to add me for positive support  I've done it thanks to this site and so have a number of other people. This site really is life changing!

You are a machine

Amazing difference!! A very well done. :flowerforyou:

I really do wish you well. What you have achieved already is amazing! The journey at the start is very, very hard but the longer you stick with it the easier it becomes (as I'm sure you now know) Well done! :flowerforyou:

Real life is a problem for many people. In your situation could you not invest in a cheap treadmill or Elliptical trainer so you can be at home more but have the ability to jump on and go whenever you feel like it?
-
Wow he looks really ill now...
-
If you're only eating 400 calories a day you are already deep inside starvation mode and keeping this up for a prolonged time will seriously damage your body (if not fatal!). You are only eating a third of what your body needs. 1200 is the MINIMUM and is the baseline figure if all you do 24hours a day is lay in bed. Any…

I honestly don't believe you're in a plateau. When you first start exercising your body changes a lot. Water can be retained or lost, muscle replaces fat etc etc. The fact that your waist HAS dropped shows that your body is changing regardless of what the scales say. I would strongly urge EVERYONE not to rely on scales…

I wanted to be the same weight and waist line as I was when I was 16. Achieved it this month
-
You are a MACHINE! If the terminator or Daleks ever invade we'll just send you in

Oh my god that was Soooooo funny! It was almost impossible not to burst out laughing but I'm at work so couldn't
-
5 months ago I would collapse after 500 yards! :noway: After my first mile I ached for 4 days! but now I can run 15k pretty easy and the next day I feel like I did nothing the previous day. You should start off VERY slow and the elliptical trainer is an excellent way to start off. You should only be increasing the routine…

My top tips: The scales do NOT always give an accurate picture. A lot of people on here plateau but when they measure their waists they've lost an inch or two. Treat this as a lifestyle change and not a diet. Diets come and go but a lifestyle change is just that, a complete change in lifestyle. If you really, REALLY need…

That's nothing... I was walking around with tissue stuck to my shoe after a visit to the loo :embarassed:
