  • Has to be the winner so far  :drinker:
  • When you enter the time for the exercise you can delete the calories beside it with your own results.
  • Yeah on Monday I went for the chicken wrap with rice and to drink stuck with water. Was still higher than I would have liked but much better than the 1/2 chicken, peri chips, coleslaw and 3 cokes I used to have
  • Your body will fight like mad to keep that weight on as it beleives it may need it and it is very comfortable with it. My last 10lbs have been very slow but I have to mix up everything all the time to keep my body guessing. I raise and lower my calorie intake daily (1700 one day, 1500 the next, 16oo the next and so on). I…
  • Morrisons also do a lot of healthy foods and milks. I'm lucky that I live 1 minute away from one :) You can also buy a lot of ready made (nothing added) salads and stir fry ingrediants etc. I buy these a lot because I hate waste and I don't want to have to eat the same meal 3 times a week to use it all up
  • While I was losing the big amount of weight I would weigh myself once a week (It was great seeing 4lb drops!) Now I'm only 1lb away from my final goal I tend to weigh myself every day and my mesurements once a week. I'm so close I keep checking in case today is the day  Once I've hit it I'll probably check once a…
  • You can manually enter the HRM calories to replace the MFP ones. MFP was double what my HRM said so I inputted the HRM instead so I can a realistic total. This why I never eat more than half of my exercise calories because I never know for sure how accurate it is.
  • I work in London during the week and head back home to Torquay in Devon every weekend. Pity my 5 hour drive...and soon to be 7 hour drive as the summer approaches :)
  • I agree with the others, that is a major success. Well done you!
  • Thanks so much for the answers! I've ordered some body glide and I bought some plasters this afternoon to get me through this evenings run, I wish I could go shirtless but the rules say I can't
  • It's taken me 2 months to shift the last 10lb whereas I was losing 3 to 4lb every week up until that point. Your body will fight like mad to keep that last 10lb because it is convinced it needs it for any bad times. My advice is to mix up as much exercise and eating as possible. By this I mean eat 1300 calories one day,…
  • That is exactly what I did. I kept one pair of trousers that I look at in shame but boy does it keep me motivated
  • I LOVE this thread  I have been increasing my workouts considerably over the last few weeks and where I only used to head sweat I now leave the gym soaked. I used to be able to put my running gear straight into the washing basket...now I have to let them dry off first  I don't feel like I've really pushed…
  • Your question is my answer. The more stressed I am the harder I work out. For me the gym is a brilliant outlet for my stress. My focus is seeing the results of all that hard work from my life-style transformation. My key card for work has a head shot photo of me in June last year (45lb heavier). Whenever I feel myself…
  • I didn't even know this existed  As some inspiration for you I only started running 3 months ago and went from couch to 10k in that time :noway: The thing I learnt was I had to commit as many days as possible to running so the muscles built up. I would run 5 days a week (sometimes 6) and gradually worked up the…
  • Scrap that, just found one with so many positive reviews it has to be it
  • Who's the author? Just had a look on amazon and it brings back a LOT of results
  • I'm not an expert but judging by everyone else on here you're losing treble what most people here aim for (max of 2lb). That does seem a lot to lose so quickly. Also if you lose too quick your skin will sag because you're losing faster than the elasticity in your skin can cope with. That's what scared me and stopped me…
  • I could have sworn the scales would be 3lb heavier after this weekend (scampi and chips Saturday, big roast dinner Sunday). I even had 2 bars of choccy and 3 redbulls to keep me awake for my long 5 hour drive home at the weekend. Imagine my surprise when I was 2lb lighter than Friday :noway: I keep thinking of my sister.…
  • I find it hard to eat mine for two reasons: 1. I don't know how accurate the estimated calories is. 2. It is hard for me to eat so many extra calories. For these reasons I try to eat some of them but never all of them. I know I should...I just can't
  • I used to drink 2 or 3 cans of coke every day. So far this year I've had just 2 and didn't enjoy either. Once you can get past the urges the willpower to say no is so strong you don't look back. Well done you
  • That is a lovely milestone, well done and keep at it :)
  • Heh you're my opposite. I'm going through a divorce right now and lost a load through stress :brokenheart: This is a lovely place to be and everyone is so nice. I'm sure you'll find all your questions answered here :flowerforyou:
  • Well done you! It is impressive because running is not as easy as many other bits of equipment in a gym. I only started running 4 months ago and back then I could barely run for 10 minutes. This week I ran 9k in an hour without stopping. It is amazing how quickly the muscles build and your body adapts. You'll be running a…
  • I like being next to someone who is fitter and younger than me. It makes me keep going longer and further because I don't want to be the first one to stop
  • I agree! 2 apples and I was over. I removed sugar from my list the moment I found out the difference between natural and bad. It seemed pointless keeping it on.

  • Whenever I get the craving I either munch a Special K bar or an apple with small helping of peanut butter. That does the job for me
  • It is such a lovely problem to have  I've spent the last 5 months down-grading my clothes but I'm now at the point where I bought a load because I can't lose much more
  • Actually I'm so addicted to the treadmill I ordered the P90X DVD's last week because if I'm not in the gym I can't get tempted  This is the problem with having a really nice gym in the building you live in. It's way too easy to get to hehe.
  • I love routines as well so I also find it very hard. I also love treadmills more than everything else so it's even harder for me :) Treadmill - One day I run at 6mph, no incline: Next day every 5 minutes I increase the speed by 1mph per minute for 3 minutes Next day back to 6mph but add random inclines Another way is…
