I believe mfp does not have this feature yet. Makes it frustrating bc then you have to input the recipe under both of your profiles separately.

I would weigh without the bone and get a new scale that measures in ounces and grams, it will make your life much easier.

If you are using the mfp preset numbers I would aim at a goal of no more than 1lb a week. It seems mfp suggests eating fewer calories than other plans so you will definitely lose the weight, in fact in the beginning you will drop a lot of weight fast then it will taper off......

Why would a cooked meal not be good for weight loss. Egg whites have very little calories, lots of protien and they are filling

Not sure what your weight loss goal is but 1200 cals a day seems low, so when you go "over" your probably eating what most others here trying to lose eat. Does that make sense? You may just need to increase your calorie goal.

I also feed my dogs merricks grain free but they don't have allergies, it's just made with good stuff that's good for them.

Do you have access to dried pasta? Other noodles? I would do pasta tossed with a different vegetable or beans?
