Oh yeah, my doctor also said to eat your exercise calories back to make sure your net stays above 1800. But I've read many different opinions on that. :)

I think 2000 is a good place to start to see how your body/milk supply responds! I've been doing 1800 for the last 3 weeks, and have lost 2-3 lbs a week. My doctor said 2500 is the recommended amount for maintaining while exclusively nursing, and didn't recommend going under 1800. He also cautioned to stay very well…
