  • I was just looking at Stage 2 in the book... How long is it supposed to take you to finish this stage? There's only 8 workouts in total? Four workouts of Stage A&B Do I do the same as Stage 1? Lift 3 days a week? Or just two? Sorry if these questions are a repeat...

  • Well,I have my squat rack all set up in the basement, moved my adjustable weights down their too. I'm getting ready to start Stage 2 tomorrow,I'm a bit nervous about getting my form right. I need to watch YouTube videos on the different exercises tonight.

  • I agree with Yanicka on this,I should of read your post more carefully,my bad!
  • Maybe it's time that you up your calories? I'll bet if you up your calories and make sure you hit your macros....you'll see the scale move. Try adding strength training into your routine as well, change up your exercise routine.
  • Timing doesn't matter,it's irrelevant. Eat!
  • I'd give it more time, you've only been doing this a week. I would up your calorie intake and give it 2-3 weeks. See what happens. Consider strength training as well, lifting heavy weights. Lifting weights does wonders.:)
  • Please people, muscle does not weigh more than fat! 1 pound of muscle=I pound of fat They weigh the same, muscle is just more dense.
  • Yep,read the NROL4W,it's worth the read for sure!:glasses:
  • Thanks,I'll have a look at it!:flowerforyou:

  • I'm doing the Workout B in the Special Workouts for Stage 1 tomorrow. It's going to kill me not to lift next week...Did anyone not take a week off, before they started Stage 2? I'm getting my Squat Rack this weekend,we ended up buying one off someone. So,now my hubby doesn't have to make one. I'm just a tad bit excited to…

  • I know you girls are right about the cardio. I currently do 6 days cardio: On the days I lift,I do a 15 minute HIIT On the other three days,I do at least 45 minutes of cardio. I am also out walking my dog 1-3x a day, plus I'm on my feet quite a bit at work. My job can also be physical at times. It's so weird, because I used…

  • I'm glad you got your barbell,it'll make things much easier for you!

  • Actually,I have both a FitBit and a Polar HRM. I use my FitBit for my everyday activities and my HRM for my workouts. I just feel that I trust my HRM more to give me more accurate readings of calories burned. Here is the link the FitBit user group: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/1307-fitbit-users
  • The backs of my kitchen chairs are high enough that I can get underneath the bar, take a couple steps back and start my squats. I'm doing workout A7-Stage 1 this morning before we head out of town for the day! Have a good day ladies and lift heavy! Boo Yah!

  • I just prefer to do my workouts at home, that way I don't have to wait to use any of the equipment. We are going to go and price out the lumber as soon as we get our basement cleaned up.

  • This one is big,but there are other versions that you can Google. Hubby has the steel pipes already, all we have to do is buy the lumber. I know it takes up space, but hubby is so afraid of me hurting myself, that's why we are making our own.

  • Here's a link to a soup I made this week: http://www.thecleaneatingmama.com/2010/02/white-bean-and-kale-soup.html It's really quite good!
  • Here is a link to a homemade power rack: http://www.home-gym-bodybuilding.com/homemade-power-rack.html You girls are going to think I'm weird, but at the present time...I am using my kitchen chairs as a rack for my barbell when I do squats. I put towels on the back of the chair,so I don't mess them up.Plus I put something…

  • Hi ladies! I did Workout B7 yesterday, boy I was I wiped out yesterday. I'm going out to pick up some heavier plates for my barbell this afternoon. Hubby is going to build me a power rack to do my squats in our basement. We're planning to do some cleaning up,to make some room to put it. I'm so excited!

  • Great post Carrie!
  • I did 5A as well. I'll need to head to the store to get more weights soon for my barbell. I just love lifting heavy!

  • I have one and use it a motivational tool,to get me moving more. I use my HRM for my workouts, and then input my calorie burns that way. Some people have said that it is not accurate in keeping track of sleep patterns. But that doesn't matter to me,it gives me a rough estimate of what I burn daily and that's what matters to…
