I'm in - can't wait to see what we're going to do!

A hot epsom salt bath, good massage, ice bath, foam roller......take your pick. I second the sauna idea, too. If I had access to an infrared sauna I'd be in it daily. I'd get a massage every day, too, if I could.

I need to do another challenge, too...not something huge, but some sort of exercise challenge that beats consistency into my thick head........

Both of these!!! Things go wrong sometimes. Bad people do bad things, and not for some mysterious greater good. And I've seen too many people survive and end up stuck in survival mode, physically, emotionally, mentally or all of the above. The rape victim living in fear. The motor vehicle accident victim living in pain, on…

Coconut milk can be used any way milk is used. I love it on my cereal! It's great for cooking, great for smoothies, and makes the YUMMIEST ice cream ever!

Emergen-C is a box of packets of powdered vitamins that you put in water or juice. They are good quality - you can buy them at a high end health food store or walmart - I buy them at walmart for quite a bit less. It is a very good multi-vitamin, and because you take it as a liquid, your body is more able to access and use…

Evidently, I don't take compliments very well. My small daughter, when told she had a pretty name, sighed loudly, donned a bored voice, and said, "Oh, thanks. I've had it a LOOOOONG time." Yeah Mom.......learn to say "thank you".

An incredible Fruity Curry Chicken Salad!

I grew up on a farm.....yeah.....very gross to wear the shoes inside!!
-
Exactly!

My job takes me into a lot of homes, so I wear nice slip-off shoes and automatically take them off just inside the door, wherever I go. Occasionally someone will tell me to just leave them on, and I do. I'm not barefoot, though.....I keep my socks on! If I'm going to a friend's home, I generally know if they are shoes-on…

This. I love to walk, and I love the scenery. I prefer walking/hiking out in the country, but live in town and enjoy my mile walk whenever I can get it in. I don't enjoy running....it's a waste of perfectly good scenery LOL. But I burn about the same amount of calories in a mile, regardless of how fast or slow I go, so I…

This. So weight loss goes slower......the goal is to BE a healthy weight, not just get there once.

I'm at 10 years now, starting a year before my divorce was final. We were separated that whole year. One guy almost talked me into marriage but he turned out to be an irresponsible jerk, so I have been very glad that I didn't ever go there with him.

You are a true gem, and a very wise person!

Not a chance. Why destroy a friendship? Becoming a couple is one thing, but just "getting with" is entirely different. Even becoming a couple can ruin a good friendship, for that matter, but at least that might be worth the risk.

You hear yourself say the strangest things, like, "Get your toes out of your mouth! They are DIRTY!" Your son comes home on leave and you're dying to cook all his favorite meals, but it's so hard to quit looking at him long enough to start. You wake up happy to hear their voices and go to sleep only after peeking in to…

I think it just depends on your comfort level. Will you enjoy the wedding? If not, send a very nice card/gift, see the brother and his bride before or after as you are able, to congratulate them in person. It takes however long it takes. I was the one to initiate my divorce nearly 10 years ago, and I do not want to see or…

I figured it's worth a shot to start out as simply as possible, so did go with the calories MFP set for me. I was set at 1 pound a week and lost that very steadily for about 23 weeks. When I hit a plateau, I rode it out, and after 2-3 weeks changed my settings to a 1/2 pound loss per week, bumping up my cals a bit. After a…

A wrong number caller got my house one day, and the phone was answered by my grade-schooler who was studying US geography at the time. I heard her say, "Oh, no, Virginia is far, FAR away!" and then she hung up on the poor lady. Another time she answered and got a guy who immediately knew he called the wrong house and…

I do believe this is the correct assessment. We each have to determine what is best for OUR OWN FAMILY, based on the needs, wishes, finances and whatever else we have to deal with. I have been both, and have been happy in both. Why? Because I have always known that what I was doing was best for my family at that point in…

Happily single. I'm not totally opposed to having an SO again someday, but am very much enjoying the freedom I have right now. I have great kids, plenty of family and lots of friends. There is love in my life. Valentine's Day is a day to make treats for my kids and a few special friends in the area. And then really, it's…

I am in the yes, do it, with a friendly, general note wishing her a nice day/week. No mention of her crying, and definitely not anonymous. That would terrify me. She may not be one to get nervous, but you also don't want to give her the idea there is a guy out there with romantic feelings for her - that would be…

Definitely! I dropped a few inches from my waist, torso and butt. I don't have the space to try hoop dancing, but do use dumbells with it, do squats and half lunges and quite a few different stances while hooping. How does everyone else log it? I log it as general aerobics, since I usually go 20-30 minutes, but would love…

The day I "took the trash to the curb" was special for me, too, so I bought myself flowers then, too! :flowerforyou:

I've bought myself flowers for years - I enjoy flowers. Even when I was married, I had to buy my own. I don't miss him a bit, but I'd miss the flowers, so I keep buying them, lol.

The best exercise in that case is to go outside and take a walk - whatever pace you are comfortable with. Going to the gym will not be appreciated by those who don't want to catch your cold, and when you feel that run down, your body is telling you to REST. Stick to your cals goal, and rest or exercise very lightly. Fresh…

What a silly article and study! I've never known anybody to pick *either* spoon-feeding the baby *or* allowing finger food. As was mentioned earlier, WHAT is on the spoon matters a whole lot more than the delivery method. I've never seen anyone put the spoon in the back of the baby's mouth, either. Nor have I seen anyone…

What fruit & veggies are available to you? A sliced cucumber in a gallon of water makes a yummy treat. Any citrus chunks in water is also very good. It's still water, but there is a new and interesting (and yummy!) flavor in it, so it helps a lot.

I shop yard sales in good weather, resale shops now that it is winter, and just get a few things to tide me over. I did get some great deals on clearance at the end of the summer that I will have altered this summer - even paying for alterations, I'll come out ahead for having new clothes.
