I have the ultra, I was totally looking forward to the flex, but then opted against "upgrading" when I discovered that there wasn't a display. I would've bought it in an instant if it had a display and could be used a watch and to cycle through the activities like my ultra does. So I'd pick the one now.

I never "complete" my diary... And haven't had any issues. It still keeps and logs all the data.

I also love my paragard. I had Mirena removed between my two kids, and I conceived within two days after. So be sure to use a different method if you do have it removed starting right away. The doctors told me it would probably take 6-9 months to conceive. Totally not the case. I don't know that the hormones did or didn't…

I just did my first run yesterday, second tomorrow.

I try my absolute hardest to get a solid workout. If I can't I keep moving, to stay "warmed up" For example, once my son had a horrible diaper incident right in the middle of my ripped in 30 DVD, and hubs wasn't around. So I paused the DVD and marched in place as I changed the diaper, then got back to it. If it's the…

If you are eating well, even with the extra calories, exercise more.
-
You have to enter into MFP as you would any other exercise to have I actually show on your log, rather than just the fitbit adjustment. I don't use an elliptical, but I've been testing my fitbit vs. HRM for the same activities over the last week or so, and it is usually 5-10% off, either up or down, depending on the…

I've heard that HRMs can go erratic when the battery gets low. Have you tried replacing it?

Yogurt. UGH. Not a fan right now.

When you're first making a drastic change, I'm sure it wouldn't matter. Later, once your body catches up to your new eating habits, it will. I log everything I eat or drink. Alcohol or not.

I also like the EAS 100% Whey. I haven't tried a lot of them, but it's not chalky, blends smoothly, and tastes good just with water. That's a win in my book.

I was going to suggest the baby formula containers too.

You can also link the fitbit with earndit.com and get points for how active you are to trade in for gift cards or coupons to websites. I've redeemed a couple already.

No, I didn't expect it to do more, because that's what it says it does. I have found it to be worth the $85 I spent on it. I like that it syncs with MFP, I like that I KNOW what I've done throughout the day, and at what times I was more active, I like that it tells me how many times I've woken in the night, I like pushing…

It tracks steps, miles, stairs, estimates daily calorie burn, and tracks sleep. Not sure what else you are expecting from it?

LOL! You poor thing! You've been doing it wrong this WHOLE time! ;)

Does the ft4 (or 7 for that matter) save workouts? Shopping for these is so hard! I want chest strap, for it to track my resting HR, to be able to time my workout and get a summary afterward, and for it to save that summary long enough for me to input it, and I'm trying to find the best/cheapest option that does all three.…

That depends on what you want to know. General daily activity=fitbit Working out at target HR/accurate cals burned for workouts=HRM

Thank you :)

90 pounds in a year is AMAZING! That's like a pound every four days!! YOu look great!

Firstoff, yes, I was starving! Which is why I changed how I was doing things.. I couldn't survive on 1300 every day long term, no way. I have no CLUE why MFP's automatic calculations even GO below BMR. Ok, so if I didn't have my fitbit and HRM, what I would have done when changing it first, use a BMR calculator to find my…
-
I DO wear my fitbit, just to see what it gives me, but I get a higher burn when going off my HRM's calculations, so I use it, because hey, I like to eat more when I can ;) Because the fitbit doesn't count say crunches or planks as "activity" while my HRM does, because my heart rate stays up, my fitbit adjustment for that…

Marylovehello: *kind* of... I think I go about it a bit differently than most... Like, according to MFP, I'm set to 1300 cals, but my BMR is 1600 cals, on an average day, my fitbit shows a burn of 2300, which is 1000 over my MFP estimate, but on that day, I eat 1600-1800 calories. So, I'm sure to eat above my BMR, I've…

WOW! Amazing change!

Thank you everybody! Count calories... Really though, i started out drinking ONLY water, and using MFP's 1270 net cal , which kicked the first 8 pounds off in like, a little over a week, then I've lost about 1.5 pounds/week since then... I bought a fitbit on week 2, and since then base my calories eaten off of my burn…

Gee, it's huge, if anyone knows how I can fix that, let me know! Nevermind, figured it out! ;)

Daily first thing in the AM, after peeing of course. For me, my daily weight isn't detrimental to my loss, its key. I have an app that tracks my moving average, and smooths ont that daily fluctuations. So I can REALLY see whether I'm going up, down, or staying the same. And I know how what ive done the day before effects…

Even though the fitbit isn't a HRM, I really like having it in addition to one. I like being able to say, oh dang I was a little lazier than normal today, better take the dog for a walk tonight. I do still use a HRM for workouts other than walking, and input that manually.
-
I just started this as well tomorrow will be my third workout of week one. I use a HRM for logging and I burn about 400 calories. Without a HRM, I think MFP has circuit training in the cardio section, that is probably what id use.

I've been wanting to buy this too. The price was off putting though, since I've just spent a ton of money on family birthdays and stuff. So I bought ripped in 30, and after I finish that, hopefully the budget will be more forgiving next month..
