YAY! Congrats! I'm only 2 weeks in but I'm not planning on taking a week off either, I really enjoy my "alone time" in the garage with my weights.

From 5/11 - 12/11, when I found out I was pregnant: Insanity which I finished 2 weeks ago, 3 - 5m postpartum 5'5" SW - 236 CW - 151

Is it a question of grip strength? I'm at 15 lbs in each hand for lunges and 30 lbs in each hand for squats and deadlift with gloves on.

That is the idea of the Step-Ups, only use the working leg on the riser. The other leg is for balance and along for the ride: http://nicktumminello.com/2013/01/step-ups-a-better-way-that-eliminates-cheating/

I didn't have a big drop in weight until the last 2 weeks. I finished 2 weeks ago.

I did it just like the video last night and felt better about it.

There's a group here for help & recipes but everyone's definition of "clean" varies. I just try to not eat pre-packaged foods, chose whole wheat when I can and fruit/veg with every meal. I do give in because my husband isn't a whole wheat fan and my child is very picky, I don't want to cook 3 meals for 3 people.…

I think it depends on where you are with your weight (close or far from average from your height) but for me, it took about 2 months. I was doing Insanity, I could feel that I was losing inches, I was down a pant size but after 7 weeks I dropped 4 lbs over 2 weeks. When you are losing inches it means you are losing body…

From what I've been told, if you are feeling DL in your lower back then you are doing it wrong or too much weight.

I've been told that Stage 2 can take 60-90 minutes so I'm enjoying the short sessions. I just make sure to make the most and lift heavy, where i couldn't eek out 2 more reps when I reach the outlined total.

I ended up doing 30 lb dumbbells in each hand and I'm already feeling it!

Here's a video from YouTube, a quick search yields this move in a few different videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yi6MZNQuXfs Here's another way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mG-Stc3c7N0 I'm probably going to try the single legged method tonight

Casein is a slow digesting protein, usually taken at night so that because it takes 6-10 hours to digest. It's thicker than whey protein, like a malt consistency, and great in baked goods. So the 2nd recipe is more like a pudding. You can also drink fat free milk (it's bo&h whey + casein proteins) or have a serving of…

The big big thing is to make sure you are eating enough. I use the nutrition calculator at Beachbody and for me with Insanity it worked - http://www.teambeachbody.com/eat-smart/nutrition-tools/caloric-needs

I leave my foot on my chair (that's what I'm using). I have a chair that's at my knees when I'm standing, that's what I use.

My lower half has always been really strong so that was my 'fear' when doing squats with the weights I have at home. The 60# I had when I did traditional squats was good but my arms were having difficulty holding the weight. So that's why I was thinking a different form of the squat, pistol or goblet. Lunges were just…

I think I may have answered my own question so I'll post in case I'm wrong or someone else is in my shoes, Goblet Squat: http://www.jpfitness.com/showpost.php?p=894520&postcount=3 I'll be giving this a shot this week and doing the lunges in the video from the first post

If you are doing single legged squats are you doing it with 1 leg elevated on a stool/bench or pistol squat? Also lunges, are you doing 1 leg at a time or alternating? Here's my "problem", when I did alternating lunges I kept losing my balance. My weight was right, 15# in each hang, but no matter the speed I felt off. So I…

It's just listing workouts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8 by the reps. It's their way of listing it compared to how Emtabo01 listed it in her first reply.

I felt my waist getting slimmer around the 2nd week but I didn't drop the weight until the last 2 weeks of the program. That's when I upped my cals from 1800 to 2100.

This describes me but I do eat some white grains when I don't feel like cooking 3 dinners (DH won't eat whole wheat pasta or brown rice and my toddler is picky as hell. When I don't feel like being a short ordered cook I'll eat white rice or regular pasta). I try to make everything on my own, lots of veg, but I do cheat on…

Try the New Rules of Lifting, it is at your own pace/weight and so far the New Rules of Lifting for Women, which I am doing, is great.

I do & don't like it. I put it in my Skinny Green Monster and it changed the taste in a bad way. But I like it in my post workout shake or casein protein pudding.

Greek yogurt with frozen/fresh berries & granola/Kashi cereal, Almonds & Apples, beef jerky and some fruit, 1/3c low-fat ricotta cheese and 1/2c plain or greek yogurt frozen berries and I always have a protein bar on me.

A lot add sugar. Personally, I still eat them out of ease but I try not to buy the ones with added sugar. Usually I make 4-5 servings of Old Fashioned Oats at a time then leave it in the fridge for the week. Google Overnight Oats for some great ideas. I like Pro-Oatmeal from my Insanity Nutrition Guide: 2/3 cup cooked…

I make my post workout shake a meal with peanut butter, cottage cheese (I want the slow digesting protein because I workout at night just before bed) and half a frozen banana. If my kiddos let me workout during the day (meaning they nap at the same time) I work out just before snack time so it's still a meal. I picked up a…

It's a long road and we are all here to help eachother. Set one long term, realistic, goal. Then have many short term goals to help you reach the long term one. I want to be in the 130s by the end of the year (that's 15 lbs for me if I hit 135), my short term goals are finishing the stages of New Rules of Lifting for Women…
