  • I notice the longer I do it I can judge when I've consumed enough calories for a meal or even if I have enough calories for the day...something that I used to ignore in my heavy days! Welcome and good luck!
  • Sometimes I get the pins and needles when I am on the elliptical just from my foot not actually moving for 30-40 minutes. I've heard other people mention that the same thing happens to them but you might want to run it by a doctor just in case. good luck
  • I took the LSATs a few years back and what I found interesting is that I got the same score on my pre-test as I did on the actual exam (the same happened to me with my ACTs). I noticed as I practiced my score got better until I got to a point where I overthought everything and my score went back down. My recommendation is…
  • That's what I've been doing and I'm starting to notice a difference. My recommended intake is 1200 and after working out I go to about 1500 but I'm always too full by the end of the day and leace the last 50-100 calories alone. I don't want to force myself to eat but if that's wrong than I will adjust.
  • Are you suppose to eat all of your exercise calories? I was set up for 1200 calories a day and if I go under my calories when I close out I will get a note saying I need to eat more, but if I eat over 1200 calories and still have some calories left that note does not come up. Should we be eating all of our exercise…
  • This was happening to me for quite a few months. I have gotten a little more strict with my diet and added an additional 20 minutes to my workout and I am starting to see results again. See if you can make a few tweaks (and make sure you're honest with your food diary) and you should start seeing a change. Good Luck!…
  • I love McDonalds! I could eat there every day if I could. I limit my addiction to once every couple weeks and I order a cheeseburger and share an order of fries with my husband. I think I leave even more satisfied than if I had ordered an entire value meal for myself. When you go, try ordering smaller sandwiches and fries,…
  • 30 minutes on the Wii Fit can be pretty tough stuff!

  • How accurate is MFP? If I do 30 minutes on the elleptical the machine shows less calories burned than MFP does. And no, I am not going to go out and buy a HRM...I just want to know if I should use the machine or MFP's calories!
  • I am so excited to get the EA fitness game!
  • I just tried the strawberry Kashi cereal bars this morning...is it just me or are they really sugary tasting? :frown: I have issues when things are overly sugary...I was really hoping that I would like them!

  • I honestly don't know but I am guessing that they are going on the show knowing that what they could win would be more than what they are losing by not having a job. I also notice that most of the contestents become motivational speakers and personal trainers when they are done, I'm sure you'd have to pay a lot of money to…
  • the same thing keeps happening to me but as long as my jeans are getting loser on me I am not going to complain! Keep up the good work!!
  • If I find myself walking to the fridge I grab a bottle of water. I will also walk my dog around the block so I am concentrating on something else.
  • I second "Eat This Not That". I keep my copy in the car to help pick where to go when I eat out and what I should order...and what meals to avoid!
  • have you tried a sports bra that is one size smaller? if there are any running speciality stores around you i would go there for product recommendations.
  • the BL DVD's are on sale this week at target until Saturday! I want to get the yoga one...can anyone recommend it?

  • I read somewhere that your brain releases more endorphins just thinking about eating food like chocolate or cupcakes than when you actually eat them. I have learned that I am more than happy just looking at the cupcakes or whatever it is that someone has brought in. I will walk by and look at them a few times and by 3 or 4…
  • Thanks for the review! I see that they sell them at Disney World now and was tempted to buy a pair. I'm waiting to hear someone tell me that they're worth getting!

  • I saw it over the weekend. It was really good but I think small children could get upset at certain parts (I know I would have cried if I saw it when I was 5). After the first predator/prey scene I noticed that most of the small children had left the theatre. It still is great...I can't wait until the next Disney Earth Day…
  • Fit Flops are sandals that simulate barefoot walking and claim that they help tone your butt and legs when you wear them. You can find them on victoriassecret.com and bathandbodyworks.com. I saw them at one of the B&BW semi annual sales one time but they didn't have my size. I know they're no substitute for exercise but…

  • I love my Wii Fit but I wouldn't use it as my only form of exercise, but I work up a sweat after about 30 minutes on it. EA has a new Fitness game for the Wii Fit that I would like to try. I have heard reviews that it is better than the game that comes with the Wii Fit.

  • One of the newest issues of Shape or Self magazine did an article on the best running shoes. You might want to read their reviews.
  • my last gym used to have wine and cheese nights! I think a fruit dish and some bottled water would have been a much better idea for an after workout snack!
  • I have a quesadilla maker...not really necessary but it's fun to use!
  • Shape is a great magazine.
