  • As you mentioned you are emotional eater, there was a BBC program recently where they gave people a specific diet depending on what type of overeater they were. They suggested online support groups and attending weight loss meetings for emotional overeaters for the emotional support. Here's the link if you're interested:…
  • These all sound like excellent suggestions! Thanks everyone
  • Yum! That sounds great, will definitely try it :)
  • Please tell me how do u manage your macros at 40 20 20???? I don't know how is it grams? Carbs 40grams? Is that per day Thanks [/quote] Fat2fit- What they meant was 40 30 30 not 40 20 20- 40% protein 30% carbs and 30% fat (=100%). You can go into your settings and change your goals to these percentages. Then MFP will tell…
  • I've just finished Insanity and I would have to agree with jnh17. I would definitely not have been able to go to the gym in the evening having done an Insanity workout in the morning but saying that, the deluxe version of Insanity has an optional strength training workout which you can add in. Apparently the idea is you do…
  • I'm sorry I'm not familiar with the P90x program. But I'm just about to finish up Insanity-which is a nine week program with plyo workouts and is generally pretty high impact. I live on the second floor. I also have wooden floors but find that exercising on a large rug with an exercise mat over it helps cushion the noise…
  • Awesome results. Can I ask, are you doing Classic P90x or the Lean version?
  • Thanks everyone, some really helpful points! The gym does offer a trial membership so I reckon I'll give NROLFW a go and if it doesn't work out there's always P90x.
  • Yep, I've certainly experienced this. Also Lyle McDonald has discussed this here: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/of-whooshes-and-squishy-fat.html
  • Looks like there's a consensus for engraving it. Thanks everyone!
  • I should have said I'm in the UK. We don't get Old Navy here (I don't think). But thanks for your reply :)
  • Amazing-thanks so much. And well done on working towards a 10K, it's fantastic.
  • I second Couch to 5K. I'm on week 7 and am running for 25 mins straight and already covering 5K. I was never a runner so I feel an amazing sense of accomplishment. I also really enjoy running outside, which I never thought I would say. AmyRhubarb can I ask what 10K program you are using? I'd like to move on to another…
  • I'm from Limerick although thankfully I'm now living in bonnie Edinburgh, lol. Think my favourite Tayto crisps are waffles. Haven't had them in years though!
  • Have you adjusted your calorie goals on MFP to take into account your new weight? You said you've been eating the same number of calories the whole time...MFP recommends adjusting the goals every 10 lbs. Sorry-just realised you have been losing a lb a week for 3 weeks not 1 lb in 3 weeks. I agree with what the others have…
  • I also think they measured wrong. Try not to let it get you down-you've still achieved so much and it's just their error for ordering the wrong size. I second getting 30 Day Shred, I lost inches all over doing it. I would also maybe try on some Spanx and see if that helps. Best of luck with it!
  • Bump-I would also like to know this.
  • Thanks everyone. I was using MFP calculations for exercise which people say are too high so I figured netting 1200 calories would give me a bit of a safety net but I'll up my calories and see how I go :)
  • Thanks so much for your replies :)
  • I felt the exact same way and I had been working out previously. I thought I was reasonably fit but after Day 1 of the Shred every muscle hurt. Even sitting down and standing up became an effort! It got alot better about Day 4 for me so I'd say to stick with it, it does get less sore on the muscles and the workout becomes…
