Gained Ripped in 30?

I finished 30 Day Shred at the end of March and although I only lost a few pounds and a half inch to inch on my measurements I was really pleased with my results. So I took a couple of days off when I finished and started Ripped in 30. The first week I lost a lb, putting me a half a lb away from my goal, which I was delighted with. Since I started level 2, overnight I put on 3 lbs and this week another 1 lb which has negated all I lost doing the Shred. This is really demoralising since I was losing less than half a pound a week so it's taken a long time to lose that 4lbs. I also haven't lost or gained any inches although I do think I may be more toned since I started Ripped in 30.

Could this really be water weight given I've had it for two weeks now? I'm netting 1200 calories, eating back my exercise calories, I'm 151 lbs now and 5'5" and 27 years old. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated! x

I'm the same height as you. You need to EAT MORE. 1200 isn't enough, slowly increase your foods, and DO NOT WEIGH YOURSELF EVERY DAY! Once a week, if that, rely on your tape measure, but do that once a week. You cannot expect losses in a week, that isn't realistic.

I was also going to suggest you eat more, 1200 is far too low for you especially now you're so close to your goal weight.

Interested to see what ppl have to say because I had a similiar problem when I was doing 30DS. In over 2wks I lost nothing. I posted the query on here as well and a few people said it was water weight but that never made sense to me. I didnt finish because i caught a flu that knocked me out for 2wks and since them I've got really busy renovating our house (a lot of physical manual labour) so I just haven't picked it up again.

The interesting thing is that since I got sick and started working on the house, I've lost 3kg - in about 4wks... Something that I simply couldn't seem to do during the shred??

I agree with LindaCWy . Always eat a t least your bmr. Dont weigh more than once a week. I measure once a month. I gained muscle in both the shred and ripped but I looked much better. Try eating more but make sure you eat only good foods . I might be water weight , or new muscle. Be patient and if you keep exercising and eating healthy you will start to lose.

Same as everyone else said. You're not eating enough.

    Clear as day.

With the amount you have to lose 1200 net is probably too low. Try setting your goal to lose 0.5lbs/week. But yest most likely your gain was water weight.

Definately need to be eating more hun!! I have only lost 2.3lbs in the past 2 weeks but before that I was stuck at 150lbs for well over 3 months! I did however lose 10.5 inches in total during the past 4 weeks of eating more and doing the 30DS, which I have nearly finished.

Up your calories with healthier options, stay off your scales for a few weeks but measure yourself every 10 days! I am sure you will see a difference! Good luck, Jen x

Thanks everyone. I was using MFP calculations for exercise which people say are too high so I figured netting 1200 calories would give me a bit of a safety net but I'll up my calories and see how I go :)
