most of my shoes are less than $75. I buy the last seasons model. I would ditch those inserts ASAP

Just eat some of those calories back. What's your current weight? I don't know what refers are so can't help you there.

many will say to eat more, but in reality if you really are eating less than 1200, you should be losing. Log everything for a couple weeks then weigh in. Milk, sauces, vegetables, dressings, oils, beverages.

Is your salad really just lettuce? And 3 scoops protein powder are usually more than 100 something cals. Do you mix this with milk? I didn't see milk logged but maybe you do something else with it ?

Log accurately for a month straight before claiming you can't eat 1200. Your diary is empty most days, so my guess is you are eating plenty or you would be losing.

Why can't you use full length inserts? I would try getting fitted for shoes so that you don't need inserts. Shin splints can offer with or without and happen for most new runners regardless.

I don't like them. It takes me 2 minutes to blend one up so I just do it in the morning.

a 5k is only 3 miles, it's not like she's going out running some crazy long distance. It's fine to run 3 miles on Thursday. There is not much difference between 2 miles and 3. If this was marathon training I agree you should not run that distance 2 days before but for short distances it's fine

Did you talk to your orthopedist about how to ease back into exercise? I hope you did some PT? I would see a dr and pt about the knee and have them help you determine what and how much you can do

112 to 115 is 3 lb, and the dr scale is different then yours so won't be exact. And at your height you could stand to gain a few anyway.

I don't stress it. I count as accurately as I can but I enjoy a meal out and get back on track the next day.

wow where do you get that carrot cake? It's usually so high calorie that to have a piece that's almost all I'd get to eat that day!!!

no I do everything I normally do. So you take a week off once a month? Exercise and eating right will help you better. Go for a walk if anything

if you are logging the riding then I would keep your setting at sedentary. You are already not losing, so you are most likely not logging accurately. Therefore bumping your calories up will only hurt your weight loss.
