Get fitted for running shoes that cater to your specific needs at a running store. I had this problem too when I started running, then I went to a running store where they watched my gait and looked at my feet, and recommended shoes with a specific kind of support (for me, good arch support since my feet tend to pronate).…

That is fascinating! I want to test it on myself!

I started with the phone app too, for many months, but when I finally stumbled onto the actual site--MIND BLOWN. I love it here. Welcome, and great progress so far!

Ooh, what a great idea, to bake it bottomless! I don't usually like the crust anyway... so this seems like a brilliant plan to me. Would it change the quality of the filling? I'm a pumpkin pie girl, myself, which is already on the healthier end of pies. I'm curious to see the answers!

Step one: don't beat yourself up! We all have cake binges (well, for me it's ice cream, but same idea). The guilt is certainly not going to help you. My advice would be to hit the gym for part of the time, so you've kind of got the best of both worlds. Every little bit of exercise counts, and even a short burst of cardio…

Awesome work!

I have officially re-entered the NORMAL zone for BMI! :)

There's nothing like crossing a finish line! And great time, too!

Amazing. Congrats!

It's great for accountability, since you weigh in each week with an actual person and attend meetings with other actual people. This is tremendously helpful to a lot of people. And the formulas really are not that complicated, or at least they weren't when I did Weight Watchers (they change things up fairly frequently,…

I'm totally addicted and loving it! If I'm not at my computer, I'm checking it on my phone app!

Nut butter is always a good way to get some extra calories in, too, if you find yourself at the end of the day with a whole bunch left to eat. As far as not having an appetite goes, I notice that when I eat 'starvation mode' style for several days, I lose my appetite too. But I really don't think that's a good thing--I…

That's SUPER interesting, and the first time I've heard this. I'm type O, so if this is the case, that would explain my intolerance! I had a bit of gluten last night (stupid soy sauce hiding in the recipe a friend made), and definitely paid the belly price. My weight was up a notch this morning, and I've had unusual…

Thanks, that's good advice!

I've never been able to do a "healthy" 2lb a week, maybe because I'm female? But even at 1lb a week, 11lbs will probably knock off a dress size! I also tend to do a lot of working out, so I get smaller even without the numbers loss. Toning up is good for dresses too

Wow, I definitely want those shoe's for my next mini goal reward (which is .8 lbs away)!! Congrats on meeting your goal and thanks for making us all drool over your reward! I admit, I have a bit of a substance abuse problem... it's shoes...

I was considering it, I've heard it's really fun! Unfortunately, not exactly in the budget this year. But I know you'll have a great time!

I love seeing 88 lbs lost in pics too! So inspiring!

Hilarious! I tried the master cleanse for a few days many years ago, and I pretty much felt like crap the whole time (although not all that hungry--if you follow the measuring and stuff, you're still getting about 1500 cals a day due to the maple syrup). I will say, though, that I think the best meal of my life was…

Do you eat back your exercise calories? Because if you don't, then your net calories would be pretty low. The advice seems to be that, basically, if you're burning a few hundred calories a pop when you workout. Not that I'm a professional!

Amazing results!

This is pretty much my story as well! No official Celiac diagnosis, and it would probably be negative anyway--from the reading I've done, Celiac sort of needs a trauma to kickstart it, and I haven't really had that. But I had IBS and MAJOR bloat, and my aunt gave up gluten a long time ago, so I gave it a shot. It's been a…

Congrats on setting a new personal record for yourself! But the bit about your son going with you is incredible, so EXTRA congrats about that!

Does your eating right include protein? That makes a big difference in my energy level. But then again, I do start the day with a (fairly weak) cup of joe.

You look great! And more importantly, you look like you FEEL great! And I LOVE your bikini top, by the way! :)

awesome.

It's awesome, but definitely a time commitment. It's pretty much as hard as you make it--there are modifications for everything, if you're not fit enough yet (and even after completing, there were still things I had to modify!) This made me a heckuva lot stronger, but I did not really drop serious weight. It sort of…

I don't know about cooking, but it's certainly been magical on my hair!

Great post, Chris. It's been amazing to see your transformation

This thread is amazing. I'm both considering it and wetting my pants laughing.
