  • Happy Monday, everyone! magglett--I have wanted to try geocaching since I heard a podcast about it many months ago (the 'Stuff You Should Know' podcast from howstuffworks.com--it's a great podcast!). So I'm totally jealous of your weekend :) Debi--I love Teavana stuff. My most recent find is a pumpkin spice tea from…
  • Totally agreed! I loved it too, although I think I will do it alone next time (the boif isn't a very good motivator next to me... tumbling and grumbling the whole time). Just finished Kenpo and LOVE LOVE LOVE. Reminds me of my ol' college days (not that long ago, only 5 years, lol), when I'd take Stage Combat and Capoeira…
  • Hi supporters! Happy Saturday! I had an opening night of a show I'm in last night, and we rocked it! Great response. I'm still riding that high, so I thought I'd pass it along and try to share some of the good vibes!
  • legs/back yesterday was great, and ARX did me dirty but I felt SO good when I was done. I have definitely already noticed a difference in my body, how I'm looking, etc. Which is rad :) I'm training a few people to run a 5k in December, so we did about 3 miles this morning, and I'm looking forward to Kenpo! I've got to…
  • LOL I noticed that too. He's adorable. Karen, I ALWAYS go to Ross first for workout equipment, the one on Woodman/Riverside had a TON of yoga mats the other day (pink and otherwise). But their selection seems to vary a lot. My mat is fairly thin and has been working out ok, but I might want a thicker one for ARX--my…
  • It is cool, thanks :) The shoot yesterday was just a favor I was doing for a director friend who got a very fancy schmancy new camera and wanted to get some practice with it. We shot a few monologues, and it rocked :) How's everybody today? Happy Thursday!
  • shoulders and arms went pretty well, I probably should've used heavier weights. But ab ripper did me DIRTY today! It felt about 100x harder than Monday! Yeesh. Ah well, no pain, no gain.
  • I definitely buy new workout things based on how pink they are :) I had to restrain myself from buying a new pink yoga mat the other day, since I was buying for the boyfriend! LOL I'm off to do arms 'n' abs. Hope it goes smoothly! OH! I just got my body fat caliper in the mail, and it said 29%. But it also said not to…
  • Hey supporters :) Happy Wednesday! aspencer122, I just started p90x on monday with a bunch of other MFPers, and I LOVE it! Tonight is arms and abs, wish me luck :) This has been a great week for me, so far (despite the fact that it's 95 degrees outside right now in NOVEMBER. not fair! Those of you in the snow might think…
  • I TOTALLY agree. I did 30 Day Shred before starting, and I feel way more equipped to handle this stuff! Just finished Plyo, day 2. I LOVE THIS PROGRAM. I feel like a million bucks! I'm on the sore side from chest/back/abs yesterday, but the blood flow during plyometrics is definitely helping that. Have fun everyone!
  • Listen to your body! Some days you'll probably be hungrier than others, on those days eat them.
  • CLASSIC! Just finished chest and back and ab ripper x. Didn't break much of a sweat during chest and back, but maybe it's because it was freezing in my apartment this morning? My muscles were certainly burning. LOVED ab ripper! Not that I could get through all 25 of every move, but I didn't do as poorly as I expected to!…
  • Hello November! Profjan, I think it's a great idea to try to split up your workouts, especially if it means you'll stick to it! Whatever works, right? I joined some people for a P90X challenge starting today and I have a feeling tomorrow my abs are going to be absurdly sore! I wanted to do it with my boyfriend, my idea was…
  • i just finished the stretch dvd too! now i feel like gumby :) looking forward to the super hard work starting tomorrow!
  • I've been stuck at 165 for many weeks too, and this morning was 163! Congrats for breaking through!
  • just took my before photos... groan. definitely looking forward to the after photos! i may try x stretch today, looks like everyone loves it!
  • Sounds like she's pretty self conscious about her own weight, and by making comments that devalue your achievement, she probably feels better that she hasn't taken control of her body like you have of yours. Like it evens the playing field, a bit. But I doubt she's purposely trying to be mean! I think this is pretty…
  • Whether it's high or not, way to go on being really active for 3 hours! I used to train for marathons and would get really giddy when it would tell me I burned thousands of calories. Then I'd counteract it with a vat of ice cream... lol In all seriousness, I've been wanting to get a bodybugg too. Sometimes I'm shocked at…
  • When I did weight watchers, which is really similar to MFP except in person and lots of money, they would always say that you eat your exercise calories only if you're still really famished. I'd say try not eating all of them for awhile. I'm not an expert, but if you eat ALL the calories you've burned, doesn't that defeat…
  • That's great. Fortunately, mine listens to me a lot of the time. When we met he thought a salad serving bowl (like, party size) was a good serving of cereal! He was totally clueless, but thanks to me lost 40 lbs! If only I could be as good of an influence on myself! lol
  • I was debating classic vs lean as well... probably classic, since I'm doing it with the boif. I'm excited to start! The only thing I don't have is a yoga block... what's the consensus, do we definitely need yoga blocks? And I'm a little freaked out about the nutrition. It makes sense to me, mathematically, but 2400 cals a…
  • This is great, Karen--glad I can read about your success!
  • wow, i just got a really nasty response on another topic i posted. or at least that's how it came off to me, hopefully she didn't intend it that way? it was essentially, "that never works but i'm sure you'll do it anyway". that's pretty backhanded, right? ugh. what a downer :( and while i'm pms-ing, too! lol, it probably…
  • ha, there's no way i will. i'm allergic to a lot of things, and i certainly don't have the money to put in all at once. i'm just jealous that my mom is thinner than me for the first time in my life! i'm a pretty clean eater and consistent exerciser, and my current weight is my 'happy weight', as they say, the weight i…
  • hi unconditional support group! i don't know why it took me so long to find this thread from the previous one; i've been missing the feel good vibes! just wanted to check in and say hi to everybody :) anyone else completely addicted to the before/after pics in the successes forums? i CANNOT GET ENOUGH! maybe one day i'll…
  • lol, i think my mom had a coupon too. and i think she's been mostly eating bars. i guess if you're resorting a meal replacement system, you can't care about taste very much... and most people trying to lose weight very much DO care. it's a conundrum!
  • how amazing! it's the side effects of getting fit that are the coolest. and it's funny you mention how losing weight makes you notice the cold more--a good friend of mine, who is 75 lbs down, is working on a standup comedy routine about why it sucks to lose weight (all sarcasm, of course). and that is one of his topics!
  • i'm now pretty much in level 2, and the cardio is KILLING ME. anyone else with me on this? all that stuff in plank? YEESH! but today was easier than yesterday (by a TINY amount), so i guess it's working... how's everyone hangin' in there?
  • I think this is my favorite so far :) what a perfect oxymoron! lol. glad you worked out anyway!
