Awesome decision! Having your husband go through this with you will help both of you motivated as well! It's completely do-able, and you'll get there, just gotta stick with it. I'm a big fan of before/during/after photos. Measurements are good too. Even when you don't feel like you are making progress (the scale isn't…

Technically I'll be done on June 1st, but I'm going to push past that and continue till July 1st. This is for a few reasons: 1) I have been working through this program, but I don't always complete every workout (sometimes I get 30-40 minutes in). 2) I slacked off for a few weeks after taking my day 60 pics (profile pic).…

Agreed, shedding the water isn't the solution. Now if you're planning on a photo shoot and need to drop a bunch of water to show off those abs, so be it.. but otherwise save your money and focus on eating better and selecting a good exercise program!

Welcome back, ritamerlot! Stacey and Jane are right, one day at a time. Even if you miss a day, don't worry about it, just remember to pick up again the next day. Remember the end goal, but focus on today! You've got the support, let us know how else we can help!

I've seen a few different diagrams of 'where to measure'. When I measure I do the following: Neck: pretty much center and try not to get the adam's apple in the way too much. Waist: Tape should go directly over your belly button, tape should be level going around your midsection. Don't suck in and don't push it out, just…

Hey newaustinite! There's a few P90X users around! I'm working towards day 90 now myself. I did slack for a little while after day 60 so I'm working to catch back up again. Resistance completely depends on what it is that you want to accomplish. The videos do a pretty good job of setting the ground rules. 12-15 reps for…

Welcome to the site! I'm from Oregon and new here myself. There's lots of good people around though and we can certainly find ways to help you stay motivated! Have you defined your goals... weight loss, strength increase, etc? Do you have any ideas on how to reach those goals? The more we know the more we can all help!…

When going through the Shoulders and Arms video I was able to change up the weights without hitting pause. This is really going to depend on a few things though. For instance, if you change the weight on every exercise and/or if you push all the way to the end of each rep set (or go over by a rep or two) you might run out…

You've got a crazier schedule than I do! I work full time, go to school part time, am a single dad of one and work a lot of time oncall - but you have me beat! Welcome aboard! Feel free to friend me as well!

That's awesome! Keep going, you can DO this!

I have a 64oz mug that keep on my desk in the office. On a "really" good day I fill it twice. Lately it's been 3/4 to a full one. Need to up my intake some more :)

Sounds like you have gotten a lot of good replies already, so I'm not sure how much this will add. When I started, I had a set of adjustable (barbell with changeable plates) that went from 5 lbs to as much as 40ish if I only used one. I set them up at 15 lbs each and used this along with separate 5 lb dumbells for the…

Hey Sporty, Are you running/working out/training in the mornings or evenings? What is your current daily calorie goal? From the sound of it, it doesn't appear as though you snack during the day. You may want to revisit your calorie calculations and consider changing your eating a bit. Maybe a few snacks throughout the day…

Some people have already mentioned a plateau, which is possible. Sometimes you can break through a plateau by completing a 'cleanse' and such. On the other hand, you may need to look at how and when you are eating. Do you snack throughout the day? Many times eating small meals (snacks) throughout the day helps to keep your…

Hey SportyLady, Sounds like you are getting close to your goal - don't give up yet. Weight loss and fitness goals have their ups and downs (literally) but if you keep working on it, you WILL succeed! Even when the scale says otherwise, just keep plugging away and you'll break through any plateau you may hit. Just to help…

Hey LBeez, congrats on choosing P90! I went through most of this last summer. I'll be honest, I didn't completely finish, I teetered out shortly after the 60 day mark. To be honest, I think a good reason that I didn't complete it was that summer rolled around and between being outdoors and work, I sort of ran out of steam.…
