No, lady!! 23 per cup. I eat at least two cups most days. My protein goal is 147.

i'm a huge fan of greek yogurt. i get the fage containers that have 2 cups of yogurt in them. i eat one for breakfast. i put it in a smoothie this morning, but i often put my kashi berry crumble cereal in it and eat it that way. i add in some truvia for sweetness. i take the rest of the container, add some truvia and throw…

weight can definitely be dropped eating below BMR like that, but will it get you all the way to your goal and keep you there? not likely. so you're doing well to start off questioning that whole method and looking for a healthy option. go here to figure out your TDEE according to your activity level>…

Thanks, ladies! I have been doing some cardio as well, although not since the last workout. Just been busy. I will definitely stretch more and increase the post-lift protein. I wish I could increase my sleep, but unless someone wants to take a kid off my hands that ain't happening right now.
-
And I did follow the workout with about 15 grams of protein. Do I need more post-workout?

If you are still eating the same foods as before it really is hard to increase the volume enough to meet those daily goals. If you are currently eating reduced or no fat versions of healthy things, eat the 2% or full fat versions instead. I don't buy reduced fat cheese like I used to, and I frequently buy the 2% Greek…

hi. first, congrats on your upcoming wedding!! second, i'm sorry you're having a bad day. third, you might not like hearing it, but you actually need to eat more *ducking the pan you just threw at me* seriously, if you are eating 1649, you are only eating to your BMR. that is what you burn in a day if you're in a coma.…

just did my first workout on monday! good luck with that ball. those jackknifes are killer. i couldn't see myself, but i'm pretty sure i did them very, very badly, lol.

Me too!!!! I saw someone refer to looking at an app for NROLFW, but I couldn't find it. Many thanks!!

no, no, no, darlin'!! i must correct...6" inches from the 3 places combined, lol. so about 2" each from waist, around belly button and around hip bones. when i upped my calories, i actually got very little exercise for the next 2 weeks. life just got in the way a bit, and i just couldn't get it in. and holy crap, did i get…

i restarted mfp at the beginning of the year. i lost 29 pounds, but then i hit a bit of a stall. and, despite going from popping out of my 12s to fitting into 8s, i still felt flabby. i actually started upping my cals a bit on the advice of a friend, but the first day i read this board, i jumped from 1300 daily to 1900…

yea, i was afraid i might be assuming too much there, but i went for it anyway. still, hang on for a bit. i think this is really the best long haul solution.

that is a seriously impressive weight loss timeline you got there. i'm sure it took some real patience to get that done, but you probably under ate for a good while to get there. i think your body just needs some time to adjust. it may give you hope (or you may want to smack me) that i've seen a drop after doing the eat…

i was eating about an hour after i got up, after getting kid 2 on the bus and before rousting kid 1 out of bed. however, my body is making new demands on me now. i'm really hungry very soon after getting up, so i'm eating a piece of toast with pb2 or cream cheese and then still eating my regularly scheduled breakfast. i…

I'm doing one in 2 DAYS!! Gonna rock the Dirty Girl Mud Run!! Actually, probaly not, but I'm gonna have some fun. I just wish I could wear my new fancy HRM to measure the calories that I burn. Anyone know of a way that I could wear it without it getting muddy??

Thanks, Kiki!! Sadly, all of my days are rest days at the moment. But I'm about to get my butt back in action. Gonna go with a NROLFW/HIIT combo. Appreciate the input!!
-
so, kiki....how do you feel about some quickie HIIT on non-lift days? say 20-30 minutes tops on elliptical or running or whatever? counterproductive? waste of time? not super major calorie burn, just a brief workout. thoughts?

blarg!!

a whole bunch of that could just be water gain. i've never been a big water gainer, so maybe i got a bit less of that than most. some folks talk about feeling sloshy or puffy due to water retention, but i just don't feel that. i will notice the scale moving up and then a day that i pee alot and weigh less the next day, but…

also...i'm looking to purchase a heart rate monitor. i've gotten recommendations from a few friends. what do you recommend? so far, the polar ft7 is getting high rankings. is there any practical difference in the men's and women's models, or is it just style difference?

if she's truly gluten intolerant, the gluten could be contributing to constipation. i know a lot of kids with digestive issues ranging from loose stools to severe constipation. going gluten free has helped some of them to regulate even though they had different manifestations of the intolerance. oops...meant to quote jade…

if you are having poop issues and have recently started taking a calcium supplement, that could be the culprit. i've come to the conclusion that i just cannot take a calcium supp, not even with magnesium and probiotics. i just recently cut it out because it's just not worth the poop stress, mentally and physically. i'm…

Awesome!! I'm in the up portion of the program, so that is very nice to hear. Keep up the good work!

exact same thing happened to me. i totally skipped the too full feeling and went straight to stuffing my face all day. it settled down to normal hunger after a few days. i've always gotten hungry at around 3 hour intervals and that's what i've settled back into.

NICE LOSS!!! yeah, the hubs has loved me in all of my different shapes and sizes. just a moment of vanity on my part, lol. i am absolutely gonna have to go bra shopping, but i'm gonna try to wait until i get closer to my in shape size. don't wanna have to buy again. in the meantime, i can use all the extra space in my…
