I'm 5'6" and I'm working to get to 140ish. I carry pretty much all my weight in my belly and while I'm losing in my legs and arms (and some in my middle too) I'm worried I'll look even more disproportionate as I go on. I'm hoping it'll start grabbing faster at my middle real soon!!

I have been pretty consistently at 185 since I was married, but just in the last 40 days I've started working out and eating better. I decided to try on my dress with my anniversary coming up, just to see how close I am. I was able to slip it on tied up. Greatest feeling ever!

For sweet cravings I've taken to fruit (fresh or freeze dried), a stick of gum, or those whole fruit Popsicles. For salty I eat those sweet potato and beet chips, unsalted nuts (which my brain hasn't seemed to catch up on), or peanut butter (which helps with salt and sugar cravings!!) I made them last weekend for the first time and will be making them tomorrow for father's day. My husband has been waiting so impatiently haha! My BP is high and my doctor won't start fertility stuff until i get it under control. I especially want to check the occasional treats that I'm getting and had it not been for the restaurant's page I would have thought everything was out of reach based on MFP. But luckily I found something I can work with and looks good :)

I can't do meal prep for the week. I sometimes will prep a menu, and this weekend I'm going to bag up premeasured portions of some sweet potato chips I got, but that's it. I don't like leftovers. I'd rather have less time in my day then cook everything at the beginning of the week. Blech :P

Most gyms seem to have at least one or two free sessions with a trainer. I've used them just so I know what each machine does. Some of them seem like death traps until I learn how to actually use the machines. When and if you use them is up to you, but at least you can get an idea of what does what! Good luck.

I am not an over 50, but I wish you the very best luck. I love snacking, and I have found that prepacking my snacks in the morning and keeping them with me during the day helps me keep track of what I can do. Good for you with that walking! Good luck!

It's one of the only days my husband and I can just spend time with each other. He doesn't do any school work and I don't have to go anywhere. We watch a lot of TV and try to have people over for dinner and/or games. And I cook my cheat meal for the week for dinner. And it's awesome haha
