  • I love your signature beckyinma. The driver's license thing is funny because I am about 6 lbs away from being at my driver's licnese weight.
  • You look so great! Congrats!
  • Mostly stretching, yoga, and swimming. I do have 2 kids under 2 so I stay pretty active with them too. Some treadmill, but I plan to get better about my cardio now.
  • You can adjust yourself by going under goals, change goals, then update your weight. Mine changes about 10 calories per lb of weight I lose.
  • I just bought the Taylor 7506 from Walmart. $23 plus free shipping and I love it. It measures in 1/10th lbs and is digital. Also, best buy on consumer reports. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Taylor-Model-7506-Glass-Electronic-Scale/14311191
  • Don't log gains just losses. It really isn't a gain because its just an adjustment for your new scale. Just move forward.
  • I too have loose skin between my legs and on my lower stomach, but it is getting better as time goes on.
  • I drink Coke 0, but I have heard the caffeine can cause water retention and the calorie free sweetener makes your body crave sweets so when you go off of it you will still crave something sweet.
  • Head shoulders knees and toes? Also I do stretching with my two year old. You can make it kind of funny and help them learn their body parts. Ring around the rosy? Even dancing to songs would be fun. The good old macarena or even a zumba like dance routine that you can maybe find a kids workout video. How about the musical…
  • Welcome! I have 2 kids too and I want to get in shape to stop the cycle of being unhealthy in my family. My advice is to log everything and I made my diary open to my friends. I will feel accountable to them and I find I am less likely to go over on calories. But I have to be honest about logging. Oh and small goals helped…
  • Well good for you! I feel more likely to stay on track when I am accountable to the people on here. I think if you satrt logging everything you will find you feel more guilty about eating bad stuff than if you didn't log it. That takes so much strength to make a commitment and we are all here rooting for you!
  • Got this from a FP friend and it has helped me to deal with those who harp me about the same exact thing! "Obsession is a word the lazy use for the dedicated" Continue to stay dedicated to your journey! You deserve the best and it's about you and no one else! Good luck and I hope this helps!! :) [/quote] Love it!
  • My grandafther takes Armour thyroid too. I never knew there was a difference in weight loss on either of them. I'll have to look into that.
  • Those who aren't on the plan don't understand why we log. My husband doesn't either. If I log in front of him he thinks I am on the phone talking to my MFP peeps instead of spending time with him and he gets jealous. I try to log when he's not around and not at the dinner table. I want my husband to know I love him and to…
  • I have it and I am losing weight just fine. Just because you are on medicine doens't mean the weight will just fall off now. I know it seems unfair that the disease caused the gain, but treating it doesn't necessarily cause a loss. 0.8 lbs/week is a healthy loss so I wouldn't be upset. I have been losing 1 lb/week for the…
  • Welcome mamaboobear!
  • Go for it. Everybody needs love. I think it may be easier to find someone now that you are on your journey rather than before because this is all he will know if you. He won't know the "old" you.
  • I nursed my baby for 5 months and I lost my pregnancy weight effortlessly until I got down to the last 10lbs. Then I had to start dieting (after I weaned her.)
  • Its not huge its just 4 of us and we are all about the same weight. No pressure, but c'mon. It'll be fun!
  • I am 5'9" and I am 161.8 now. My goal is 148 and I am on target to lose 1 lb/week. Oh and I am 32 years old. If you search the "mini goal" thread we are all trying to lose 5lbs by the end of August if you'd like to add in. It was posted by LuckyMe8 I believe.
  • I can assure you our relationship is toxic and I know I shouldn't want her approval, but I do. I recognize that it doesn't make sense and my husband would say exactly what you just said, but she's still my mom and I still long for her approval. As messed up as that is.
  • Kohl's is a department store in the US Mine went from 42DD to 36D. I know I lost volume, but my cup size only went down 1 cup size. Not as perky as before, but I have breastfed 2 babies which takes its toll on the ta-tas.

  • I plateaued for over 5 weeks and once I started zig zagging I have lost 1lb per week for the last 7 weeks. I HIGHLY recommend it. I think it confuses your body to get out of the rut of eating the same calories every day and shakes everything up.
  • There are two things to aim at in life; first to get what you want, and after that to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind has achieved the second. Logan Pearsall Smith I think that is the big dilemma. Once you reach your goal and you are happy how do you change your midset from working towards a goal to maintaining and…
  • Have you tied zigzagging your calories? I did that when I was in a plateau and it helped put me back on my weight loss track.
  • 161.8 this morning! Working towards 156.8 by the end of August. That's 1 pound per week and I am confident we can all do it!
  • I went from a 20 to a 10 after losing 55 lbs.
  • Yep, another accountant here. I love my excel and I have my spreadsheet too with 4 tabs. What I hate about MFP is when you update your calories today fo ryour new weight it goes back to the past and changes what your goal was. That is why I need the spreadsheet. Plus I calculate my average calories per day for the last…
  • So all of us know how hard it is to lose weight with diet and exercise. I can't imagine having surgery and losing the weight. I know people don't give those people who have surgery to achieve weight loss as much credit as those who do it without surgery. I want my props for my hard work. MY hard work. (And I am sure those…
