  • Question, how come when I do my weight loss goals it drops my calorie intake to 1200 calories? Can anyone explain this to me? Of course, if I exercise, the intake increases, but what is that all about? I really would like to lose at least 1lb a week. And according to MFP that means eating 1200 calories. Should I ignore…
  • Goodness! I'm glad I found this post! Thanks. And Aprilsmith, good luck to you! I hope you find the answers you need.
  • Oh dear. If the BMR said I should be eating 1692 calories, and I'm averaging around 1400 calories, is that really something that is stopping my weight loss and could possibly account for some of the reason as to why I've actually gained a pant size and 15lbs in 6 months? Advise me. I was doing what my trainer told me.
  • Would someone please tell me how to find out what my BMR calories are?! Maybe this could solve so many problems.
  • you're right. and the other frustrating thing is that a lot of doctors do not seem to be on the same page for treatment. I wish her well and I hope she has better luck than me! I can run a mile, I eat pretty dang good (however I'm at about 100g of carbs per day) and I would say I eat a decent amount of protein. So we'll…
  • I was so excited to eat potatoes too! LOL. Last time I went on a very restrictive carb diet I went through withdrawal I guess, and got bad headaches. Did you ever experience that or been told what to do?
  • So I'm assuming a protein and vegetable diet? Limit fruits and of course all grains, pastas, etc? Is it ok for your body to be on such low carbs since that's what the body burns to function?
  • That is RIGHT next to where I live!! This is incredible. I'll definitely give them a call after the first of the year (for insurance purposes) and see what he can do for me. I would love to have a consistent doctor who knows what he/she is talking about so that I'm consistent and can trust the doc, you know? Thank you so…
  • Where is Westridge again?
  • I hated the Nuva Ring. Ha, I've been on pretty much every bc out there... I want to stick to one consistently. Just got to find one I like I guess. Sorry I added wrong everyone. I used to take two 500mg pills twice a day, now I take one 500mg twice a day. So used to be 2000mg, now I'm doing 1000mg.
  • I was on the patch a few years ago and was able to keep a steady (but still 40 lbs overweight) weight. I'm curious about the IUD since it's something that will be consistent and long term. Thoughts?
  • I was on 3000mg a day, my gyno dropped it down to 1000mg a day because she said it was way too high and was what was causing me bloating. I seriously think docs have no idea what they're talking about. Do you think I should go back up to 3000 mg a day (original doc prescribed) and see what that does? I did find out I am…
  • I believe I need to get back on birth control and maybe that will help with some of my symptoms. I'm hoping to try the IUD (if you ladies think it's ok) so that I don't have to worry about remembering a pill.
  • I've been on Metformin for about a year now. I lost ten pounds the second time my doc put me on metformin after doing the ultra sound and finding out I wasn't crazy or lazy or stupid. I gained the pounds immediately back the same month and have steadily gained since.
  • Sorry if you go back a week or two before Thanksgiving you can see a twoo week period where I actually kept track of my journal. I skip once in a while because I'm so consistent that I am pretty aware of what I'm eating. Yes, they've tested me multiple times for all of those tests, and the last person I talked to was my…
  • Please tell me how many calories you're averaging a day. That will help me help you in determining if you're eating enough. What I'm thinking is you're not eating enough or perhaps you're not eating enough carbs and or protein. You sound like you are VERY active so therefore you would need to eat more to lose weight.…
  • Where is the link to her blog?
  • Yes I wear eyeliner every day. And I'm not very good at makeup. Not even a little, and it's been what over ten years now since I started wearing makeup? Ugh.
  • LOL I guess I'm more risky than all of you--the thought was natural enough, and I would do it considering the research I've done now when I have the money. Looking "natural" isn't really an option for me since I look like a boy without any makeup (blond brows and lashes). The amount of tattoos that I have, I'm not worried…
  • I have mixed feelings about Phentermine. As an appetite suppressant I would say it works ok, as long as you're eating throughout the day and making smart choices. I prefer not to take it every day because I do not want to become addicted to any sensation from taking the pill (the "high" feeling) or dependant on it from…
  • I don't know much about the fitbit, but I know that with the body bugg you have to pay for the web software to even utilize the equipment. I personally have the Polar FT7 watch and I love it. It does exactly what I need it to.
  • The same thing happens to me! I feel swollen after working out and my pants have an even harder time going on. I don't know why it does it either :( keep up the good work though, hopefully it will get better.
  • You make me laugh! I love it! I completely know what you're talking about too. They just don't want to feel bad doing it alone. So if you're there eating it with them, it makes it ok. I've noticed this with family. Way to be strong!!
  • What is your sugar and sodium intake? Bloating could happen by change of diet as well.... any new foods?
  • I agree about the scar tissue. I watched some doctor show about it. You may be able to get it down quite a bit on your own, but I believe it will always hang down (extra skin and maybe some fat) because of the scar tissue ruining the elasticity of your skin. Without the elasticity, the skin won't move back in place once…

  • thank you all! I'm definitely going to incorporate these changes and get some better food prep for work.
  • Amazing I really appreciate your help!
  • Thank you!
  • Haha thanks! I'll eliminate those cheese singles, and try different lunch meat?
  • What kind of sandwiches would be better for me? Those are the easiest for me to bring and eat at work....
