  • I suggest taking a look at this post and the links it provides http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants With 40lbs to lose you should try to lose about 1lb per week. Once you get down to 10lbs to go you should lower that to .5lb/week. So if everything went…
  • You can try weighing out food ahead of time in large quantities. When I buy snacks like nuts I weigh them out into 1oz portions all at once and store them in little baggies. I use the same baggies over and over again for nuts to save money and not fill landfills with plastic bags. It may take a little extra time but that…
  • ^ I second this. Let MFP do the work for you and make sure to eat back at least some of your exercise calories.
  • The program says that if you stall on the same weight twice to lower the weight by 10%. Try 45lbs for 5 sets for two workouts. If you don't hit the 5 reps per set then lower the weight. Try for 5 sets of 5 reps with that weight, if you can do it then increase 5lbs your next workout. If you fail to hit 5 sets of 5 reps at a…
  • Aww I came in for pictures! -disappointed- just kidding, great job! Daisy Dukes are awesome, wear them proud.
  • Quest bar and a 80 cal greek yogurt.
  • Because it will make them happy.
  • I don't have to exercise but I choose to. I love lifting heavy. It makes me feel good about myself. It took me almost a year of trying different exercise methods to find something that I enjoyed. I did workout DvDs at home, treadmills, biking, yoga, running outside, bodyweight exercises, HIIT, weight machines, etc. until I…
  • They advertise "#CheatClean" but the definition of "clean" is different to so many different people. My opinion? Who cares. They are delicious, full of fiber and protein, decent on calories. Did I mention they are delcious? This post was made possible by the quest bar that I'm shoving in my mouth.
  • ^ Listen to an expert. Heavy lifting is heavy for YOU. everyone's heavy will be different
  • I saw these on huffington post yesterday. I really hope that they don't cost an arm and a leg.
  • Hi everyone! I finally decided to join the group although I'm not quite ready for my first bulk. I have friends in this group and I'm always being refrenenced information that is posted here so it's time I joined in. My name is Steph, I'm 5'7, 150ish pounds, 23 year old female. I'm following the SL program currently white…
  • There is a Nutrishop in the Bay Area, CA that sells from for $20/box and it happens to be right near my family so whenever I visit I stock up on a few boxes. They sell out very fast so they are always fresh. If I run out before then I'll buy from Quest's site because they are fresh. I've had issues with buying them on…
  • I don't find it hard to track what I eat. It's just something I do now. Occasionally I take breaks when it's more effort than its worth (all day festivals, vacations, etc.) but on a daily basis, it's easy. I love lifting and I need to eat the right way to support my lifting. If I was to go back to how I was before I…
  • I help change the weight on the bar for my bf, spot him, switch the weight back to my working weight, log our set on my phone, take a few sips of water and then get back on it. Before I had a gym partner I'd play on my phone or just zone out for a bit. I've been caught staring at other people but it's not on purpose.
  • Blue Moon during the summer. I also enjoy whiskey straight or vodka mixed with soda, energy drinks or fruit juice.
  • Please take a look at these links.
  • Says who? I eat bread all the time and have had no problem losing weight. Bread in yummy. It's Calories In Vs. Calories Out and it really doesn't matter what you eat to get your calories if you trying to lose weight (Calories In < Calories Out)
  • Hai! My name is Steph. I'm 23 years old female. I started getting serious about fitness in January 2013. In the beginning it was all about the number on the scale. I wanted to get down to 140lbs from 180lbs. I didn't want to starve myself because I'd be very unhappy and wouldn't stick with it. I lost weight doing various…

  • I had a BodyMedia (same thing) and it actually over tracked and said I burned more than I actually did. It was consistently 200 calories than my Fitbit One or Fitbit Flex. I tested my maintenance calories and gained weight following the BodyMedia's estimates but maintained when following Fitbit's calories burned. Also…
  • I like my Fitbit Flex but would prefer the Force since it has the display on the wrist. It works for activities like walking, running, hiking, etc. but doesn't work too well with rowing, biking, strength training, etc. If you aint stepping, it aint tracking. I'd personally wait for the Amiigo to come out. It looks amazing…
  • I pay $10 for my local Fitness 19 and they have free weight, squat rack and no judgement against fit people or "unfit" people. I wish my gym would have more than one squat rack but I'll settle for now.
  • QTF Don't advertise that its a judgement free zone yet judge people that don't into their target client zone. The thing that I hate about them is that it seems to me that they target the people that they know won't stick around. They target the New Years Resolutioners and people that won't stick with it and therefore make…
  • OP: Your usage of gifs is awesome. Hey everyone, I've sent a bunch of friend requests to those that posted before me but feel free to send me a friend request. I eat at TDEE-10% and lift 3x/week following Stronglifts 5x5 currently. I'm new to lifting but love it with a passion. I'm hoping to start my first bulk around…
  • Saving for later. thank you
  • Most flavors are amazing. I'm currently on a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough kick and would honestly pick one over a cup of most ice cream (Ben & Jerry's excluded). They can be expensive though so I try to stick to one a day.
  • I use them as apart of my breakfast (Quest bar and a greek yogurt) because I can't be bothered with anything else in the mornings. I also have them for snacks or for dessert. Quest is my addiction and I could eat 10 of them a day if I had the funds for it.
  • We are already friends but I thought I'd post to maybe grab a new friend or two :P I'm 5'7, 150ish pounds, female, 23 years old. I follow the 5x5 program too and eat at TDEE-10% which is about 1800 calories right now.
  • I agree. I try my hardest not to take long breaks so I can avoid soreness.
