Check your sodium and iron intake. After that, check your sodium and iron levels (bloodwork)... And, are you eating enough carbs and fats?

Azdak-I think you dismiss the accuracy of a GOOD hrm too easily. I read your blog post. I agree that there is a degree of intrathoracic pressure that accompanies the lifting phase, but heart rates tend to stay up after the lift for a degree of time that does not correspond appropriately with that pressure. In addition, the…

Your heart rate is a very exact measure of how hard your body is working. Your cells need oxygen and must release carbon dioxide. The harder your cells work, the harder faster your heart rate, the harder you breathe. I have no doubt that you really burned that many calories. IF you have a quality hrm, it took into account…

Check out my exercise log. You'll see that I easily burn 200 in 45 minutes. I don't know your stats, but hubby burns twice what I do for the same workout.

At easter, purchase some of the egg dye tablets. Drip canning wax on them until they are coated. Place in shower head.... By the time the wax melts, the prankee is in the shower. The stains last about a day or two.

I got mine six weeks ago, and bled heavily for two weeks. After that, nothing. I did notice some bloating last week, and a little bit of cramping like I was going to have a period, but no period. Anyone have bloating and cramping the week that TOM was due, but no actual period?

Hey girl-I just looked at your food diary. It's my opinion that you need to have around 1600-1700 net calories as your goal, not 1200. Especially since you only have 11 pounds to go. 1200 is low for a teenager, and anyone who's been around here very long will probably tell you the same thing. 1200 is probably why you're…

I trust my body to tell me when I need to cheat. Not at first, because then I was already hungry. But cheat meals, while making you feel guilty, are good for the body and the soul. Upping your calories for a meal when you AREN'T in starvation mode (from what I understand) tricks your body into upping your metabolism. Banks…

Polar has a system you can build. Get a heart rate monitor now, and the gps when you get to that point. If you want to minimize costs now, you can do that. I have the garmin 405 and am VERY happy with it. If you plan on tracking distance and running a marathon, do NOT go with the Nike plus for your IPOD. My friend's is off…

Pack a snack!!! Fruit and vegetables and any other water dense food tends to be lower in calories. And apple? 60-calories You could eat five and still be reasonable snack wise! It's healthy to graze! Just make wise snacking decisions.

Thanks for the extra info. I used a different source, which appears to have different values. I disagree with the "same amount of milk from ages 1-6mo." Both of mine increased the amount they were drinking during this time from 3 oz a feeding upward.

Most moms hold onto that last ten pounds until they are done nursing... With that being said, http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/85127-calories-burned-breast-feeding I pump off an extra 20-25 ounces a day. I removed my deficit and only account in calories for the extra that I'm pumping off. Feel free to check my food…

Do you have allergies or asthma? If not, then keep reading. If so, this post isn't for you... Your lungs produce surfactant in order to keep your alveoli open and moist. It's like mucous. When you exercise, your body naturally produces more of it in order to keep your lungs moist. It's normal, and will get better as you…

You definitely need to eat more iron-I recommend spinach or a bowl of life cereal. Eating 650 calories to replace what you've given in blood? You're cheating yourself. I would definitely consider eating more while remaining under your maintenance calories, but those calories are burned over a longer period of time than a…

Your body is redistributing muscle, fat and water. Fat is decreasing, muscle and water are increasing. And don't dehydrate yourself because of it. The only person that number on the scale is important to is you. Your health is important to those around you.

I use two. I use a garmin forerunner 405 for my running, and a polar f55 for my gym and wii work. If you run or bike, or think you might in the future, it would be worth it to invest in one of the polar watches that you can add a foot pod or gps unit to later. Believe me on this.

Find your image on facebook, myspace, photobucket, then right click, select "view image" After you have your image, select the address and copy. Start a new post here and type [ img ] then paste the address of your image, then type [ /img ] (no spaces though...) That's it! Mine looks like [i m…

Thanks! I was just guessing about LA. That's pretty cool about your heartrate! Definitely a sign of good health. Unless of course you need a pacemaker... Just kidding!

THANKS!!! I got them last wednesday!

Your heart rate is a product of moving oxygen to cells and waste (carbon dioxide) out of cells. This is why you breathe harder when you exercise. You need more oxygen for your cells and you need to get rid of more carbon dioxide. Example: Lance Armstrong's resting heart rate is probably in the high forties. Yours may be in…

I cheated a few days ago and my milk supply went up. So, I took myself out of a deficit. No one says you HAVE to eat all the calories allotted to you each day. Plus I'm in a deficit already just by nursing and pumping off around 20+ ounces a day extra.

Heart rate monitor with chest strap-user data updated as I lose weight. It's pretty much the most accurate way to go.

You should mention what too much protein is. I believe many members on here take in their body weight in grams of protein every day. Working out helps to prevent bone loss because it actually helps to build bone density.

Sorry to be a killjoy, but... http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/acid.asp 1. Removing blood with coke is a big time no-no. It's a hazardous material and must be disposed of with special chemical absorbants. 2. You could put the steak in a bowl of coke, but I don't know how it works as a marinade. Carbonic acid is gone as soon…
