Take care of yourself. Have you been to see a Dr to make sure you don't have a concussion? If you're still dizzy it's quite possible you do.

When I have a fitness assessment with my personal trainer he always tells me not to warm up before hand. For my weekly weigh in at home I always weigh myself as soon as I get out of bed (after visiting the bathroom).

My first tri was the 2XU Women's tri up at Hillarys in March this year. I completely freaked out during the swim and lost about 4 minutes there. I've done another since and didn't have a problem so I think it was just first time nerves. :ohwell:

That's fantastic Leelu! Amazing work  Was that the Triathlon Pink tri? How was the pool swim? I'm looking at doing a tri on 11 December (if I can get my training together) and there's another I want to do on 6 March 2011. Giving your pics a go ... FYI, the IMG has to be in lower case

I think your best bet is to go talk to a sports physiotherapist or chiropractor. You may want to have a professional monitor your knee as you slowly increase the time/distance/pace you run. I know it's frustrating being limited by an injury, but you really don't want to blow your knee out all together!

I eat all my daily cals. On days when I exercise I eat all but 300-ish of my exercise cals too. I've found that when I stick to this I lose weight faster than if I eat all my exercise cals or none of them. I find I need to at least eat all my daily cals or I start to feel lethargic and ill after a few days of being below.

Hi there. I had a look at your pics and I think some of your belly issues may be solved by strengthening you core muscles, particularly your lower abs. It looks as if the lower abs are not engaging and/or your lower back muscles may be too tight causing your pelvis to tilt forward and down, which in turn causes your belly…

I'm a fan of the Nike dry-fit range, though I LOVE my Sugoi running shorts. I can't stand wearing anything with sleeves so all my tops are tanks. For colder days I'll wear running tights but still a tank or singlet top.

Hi Scott, You'll find lots of support and motivation here. Good luck with your journey  Amarillo - I love you're little waving slug!

Fantastic effort! Well done on not giving in to the fear

Alrighty, Day 1 down, 25 push ups in a row - on toes. :glasses: Possibly could have done more if I hadn't had a PT session today where I increased all my weights

120 one arm push ups! That's just insane (but in a good way)! I'm in Australia so its already Monday evening here. Heading out for a run shortly, then will attempt the pushups. Will check-in in a couple of hours with results

You can recalculate your goals to "maintain my current weight". MFP will then tell you how many calories you should be eating to stop losing weight. and (hopefully) stay at the weight you currently are :-) Then just carry on logging as normal.

Hi Cass. A lot of my friends on here are Aussies, but this thread is a great idea. I'm in Perth (Work: West Perth; Live: Subiaco) and am looking to lose another 4 - 5kg, hopefully by the beginning of December. After a great loss a couple of weeks ago I seem to be on a plateau *again* and am trying to figure out how to…

It's 6:45pm Saturday here in Sunny Perth so I'm almost halfway through my weekend already (damn!). Today I swam laps (1km) in the morning, read a book, baked some Banana Bread (284 cal/serve), did some housework, took some photos and I've just come back from a 5km training run. Now I'm contemplating what to make for…

Hi Tina and Snowbunny! The great thing about this site is that there are all kinds of people here with all kinds of goals. Some people are trying to lose 200 or more pounds while some are trying to lose 10, others are here to maintain their current weight or improve their fitness and yet others are here to try and gain…

Polar, Suunto, Timex and Garmin are generally regarded as the top brands. If all you want is something to measure HR and estimate calories burned the Polar FT4 or FT6 are good options. Don't get suckered into buying an expensive one that does more than you'll use it for.

Hi Buzzy Nikki! You'll find so much support and motivation here. I'm sure you'll love it

Hello and welcome to MFP Rachel. You'll find lots of support and motivation here

Hi Missi. I'm over in sunny Perth. There's quite a group of us Aussies (and Kiwis) on here. You'll find heaps of support and motivation. This website and the iPhone app have really helped me to stay on track.

Could there be something in your house that has changed in the last few weeks? eg Do you have the heating on more? Other things worth considering: Have you been ill recently with a virus or infection? You could still be suffering the after effects if so. Are you getting enough Vitamin D and B vitamins? Are you getting too…

Hear hear!! I always cringe when I see women running (or doing other high impact activities) who obviously either aren't wearing a sports bra or are wearing one that doesn't provide enough support. Not only does it look uncomfortable but the bounce is actually doing serious damage, particularly over the long term. Thanks…

Congratulations! What an awesome present. It's great that you're parents are so supportive of you.

Hi Vic. Well done on making the 10 day mark! This website is fantastic. You'll find so much support and advice here
-
We all have times like that. I had a major blow out last week too. Waaay over my cals for 3 days straight! :embarassed: Well done for keeping a positive attitude. After all, we can't change the past but we can resolve to do better in the future

Hello from Perth. I would say "Sunny Perth" but it's all overcast and stormy today. I'm just hoping I don't get wet during my run this afternoon. Also found this place through the iPhone app and love it

I don't seem to be getting the friend requests through to my home page. I get the email saying I have one but nothing is showing up here. :grumble: Please don't think I'm ignoring you. Hopefully it sorts itself out soon.
-
Sounds good to me. Do we want to start a thread every week or just "friend" each other? I think I'd even impress my boyfriend if I can get to 100 full push ups!
-
Good luck! It took me a while to get there but I can now do 50 full push ups in a row. Just remember to engage you abs, keep your back straight and don't drop your hips while you're doing them. It's not just about shoulders and arms

Slightly different but on the same theme, I had an email saying I have a friend request waiting to be approved. I come onto the website and there's nothing there. MFP had some major issues yesterday. The website was down for a few hours. The problems people are having today may be related to that.
