  • I am right there with you. I really should loose close to 100 myself. I started my weight loss journey in January because I refused to go up yet another size in clothing. On my own without MFP I lost only 7 in 6 months (kind of depressing). This site has been so helpful to me. It has kept me motivated and doing the weight…
  • My family started when my youngest was going through chemo treatments. We needed something that was not expensive that we could still stay isolated from groups of people. Me and me 7 year old love to go. I wish I had a better GPS, it goes flaky when we walk into the woods so mostly we have been finding urban caches. :-)
  • Well, you have to start some place. I have found this site has been a huge help to me. It made me more aware of the calorie count of foods and how much I really should be eating. I have had more success using this site than anything else I have tried. I have a long way to go too but it all starts with one step. :-) I know…
  • I have noticed I was averaging over 1 1/2 pounds per week when I lost the 10 pounds despite it being set for 1 pound a week weight loss. Do you think that could have anything to do with the extra calories when it recalculated? Is the site logic smart enough to look at past stats to calculate future calories? I am still…
  • I checked again and I am wondering if originally I had a goal of more than a pound a week. I do remember setting for a pound a week because I didn't have a ton of time to work in exercise. Hmm..... I will have to play with that and see how it changes. Thanks Guys!!
  • Oh, and that change was not due to excersise done during the day. Sorry, forgot to mention that in the original post.
  • Oh, I forgot to mention, another thing I have done was got a group together and we walk at lunch. It is a small group but it gets me up and out for a little bit.
  • I was just looking into this topic myself. I am stuck sitting at a desk all day. Here is a link to a pretty good article that lists some exercises. http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/features/exercise-at-your-desk
  • You have to look at your overall progress. For every day that you are “good” you are saving yourself calories and working hard to be healthy. Everyone slips up here and there along the way. As long as you don’t eat like that often it will be fine. Don't let it derail the progress you are making. :-)
