I'd like to be in, if there's still room!

Oh man. There is constantly food being left out in the kitchen from meetings, cookies, muffins, all sorts of unhealthy stuff.... Also, my work provides free sodas... I am totally hooked on diet cokes with like no way of breaking the habit.

October 1= 187 October 7= 184.5 2.5 pounds lost! If this keeps up I may hit a healthy BMI by the end of this

Thanks, I want to do the weight-loss challenge, but was worried the other challenges would injure me, given that my Ripped in 30 workouts are practically killing me already.

I'm in! Its great to meet y'all!

Wait until you have a daughter of your own, then we'll see if you think that sentiment is simply rediculous [sic]

I agree with this. Despite what the Every Weekers say, I don't think the Every Dayers are necessarily wrong; its whatever works for you. I weigh myself every morning, fully realizing that there may be fluctuations if, for instance, I had a lot of water late at night. The big advantage this has over the weekly weighers is…

Yes, but the comment is totally out of a "Cathy" cartoon, lol. I couldn't see Bob Harper telling some massive 400 pounder he needs to worry about how he'll look in his bathing suit

Your progress thus far has been nothing short of amazing. I think a 3-4 day stretch of plateauing does not seem like anything to be too too concerned about.
-
I did it, and thought it was pretty effective. My wife said I look really toned after it (I also lost 8 pounds). The only thing was it was pretty embarrassing when Jillian talks about working out in order to fit into your bathing suit

Perhaps you could have a "normal day" where you monitor how many steps and calories you have on your pedometer on an average day, and then from there on, on future days just add any extra steps/calories to your exercise journal.

Can I just say: the frickin chair squat lifts kick my butt every time. I'm looking forward to not seeing those again.

bump, so I can see the answer

I just try to do my best to note what I'm eating so I can add it later. I think its natural to underestimate the amount of food you are eating at such things (especially dips and spreads and whatnot) so I try to overestimate the size of the portions I've eaten. I suppose if you wanted to be hardcore about it, you could go…

After seeing this post, I went back and watched that part of the show online, and the guy actually lost 37 pounds!

Anyone know if diet soda is bad for getting rid of your belly? I initially lost like 2 belt sizes when I lost my first 20 lbs, but have only really lost like 3/4 of a belt size on my next 20 pounds, and am wondering if this could be because I drink too many diet sodas.

tell my boss what I really thought of him.

there's a category called "circuit training" just use that and input 23 minutes and its close enough.

I agree with a lot of what others have said. I also can think of one other reason. I think people who lose weight often times seem to lose it from their face first. That can cause their face to look sickly and drawn out (at least temporarily) giving the impression that they have lost more weight than they really have. I'm…

Sorry, I don't carry cash, do you accept credit cards? :blushing:

I PM'ed you with it. Also its on Tom's news feed

respectfully, the one about adding something obvious was a one-trick pony. Freshen it up; make it interesting. Just my $.02

nevermind, I'll join in October
-
kinda funny that we have both a marshmallow and a jellibean
-
I will join if there is still a spot.
-
Would it be ok to retroactively join? If not, I can wait until the October challenge.

Descartes' ontological argument for the existence of god is entirely circular. :Shrugs:drinker: seemed obvious to me
-
wait till you get to the next levels:smile: Also, another plus of Ripped (supposedly) is better music, which I'm really looking forward to. That 30DS music gets boring.
-
I think most people start with 30DS as its more beginner friendly and then graduate to Ripped in 30. That's what I'm doing, I completed 30DS Wednesday and am starting Ripped in 30 tonight

Good luck folks! I drink like 6-7 cans of diet coke a day b/c my work gives them out free, and wish I could quit, but I feel like I don't have enough willpower to maintain my diet AND stop drinking diet soda, so I'm going to get to my goal weight than try to stop drinking soda. Hopefully by then I'll have a new job which…
