I don't know the answer to your question... but I'm so curious, how did you weigh yourself with a bag of sugar???

I used to think this too. Luckily, I found out it wasn't true at all... and I'm willing to bet it's the same for you. One thing I will say- it's much easier to start running outside than on a treadmill. Actually, I'll say a few: Don't worry at all about speed. It's ok if you walk faster than you jog when you're first…

Reading this helped me come to terms with TOM: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/380982-time-of-month-and-increased-appetite I just bump my cals up to maintenance for those few days now

Don't worry about other people griping at you- work on getting healthy. He's right that you probably do have body dysmorphia... it's hard to see yourself objectively... Please check out those links I posted earlier and see if there's anything you could do to get the help you need. Don't assume there are no resources out…

Funny enough, I avoid yoga during that time... I'm scared of what might happen with all the stretching... lol... that might be tmi! Good luck to you with getting your calories up to a healthier level! I'm glad you know you've got work to do and are trying to get there. Maybe there's some helpful info here for you too:…

That sounds awesome! Happy belated and glad you got to do something amazing for your birthday :)

If it's happening consistently then take a look at what you're doing. Are you meeting your nutritional goals? Getting enough protein? Carbs aren't a bad thing, but I definitely noticed that I feel much hungrier through the day if I have too much. Could that be a factor for you? Also, dunno what level you're eating at, but…

All great advice above me! Especially making small changes at a time. For example: First goal to get enough water in, second to start eating more fruits/veggies, third work in exercise... start adding the good and you'll see yourself want to drop the bad to make room for them.. and once you build enough good habits,…

I feel you!! Being tired is usually why I don't end up going... but it seriously does help with all those aches and pains... I don't usually have back pains, but the cramps are crazy, and I can tell that there's a huge difference in how hard they come on when I've worked out vs. not. I usually go in expecting to not…

I try not to go whole hog with all the crazy cravings at that time, but do still up my calories to eat at maintenance. I've gotten tired of fighting it, and those couple days aren't going to hurt my progress any, so why not. I do try to continue going to the gym, because it really helps with cramps when I do, but it…

I've cut out added sugar (either replaced with stevia or just cut out completely, though recently I've also started having brown sugar) and I've seriously cut back on how much juice/iced tea and soda, candy and chocolate I have. Basically, the main sugar culprits for me. I was much more strict with myself in the beginning,…

I agree- I want to see more too... but right now, tracking carbs, fat, protein, sugar and calcium. Though thinking of changing sugar.

Well... luckily... Daleks aren't real... so you can still start running, while pretending they're after you... and if you're the type of person who would actually daydream themselves dying then pretend you're in a video game and you have extra lives... and start running again :) Problem solved.

Well, frankly speaking... what if she's at 6mos but in your opinion she looks like 9 mos? Maybe start by asking "hey are you pregnant? congrats! When are you expecting?" instead of just outright asking "when are you due?", which kinda implies "Hey, you're massive, when's that thing popping out?" ETA: and yes, also agreed…

hrmmmm you've basically ruled out everything I would have suggested. I'm going to ignore the fact that you don't like being sweaty. Weight lifting and HIIT training will give you the most bang for your buck (and you will sweat buckets... get used to it ;). But if you really don't want to sweat, try swimming. You might…

So true! Thanks!

There are always ups and downs, regardless of how good or bad you're being... it's the general trend you should care about. If you're being good and it's mostly down, then awesome. It's usually water weight fluctuations- maybe you ate a lot of salty/sweet foods the day before, maybe your workout was more intense than usual…

I agree with everyone saying you shouldn't have swatter her (regardless of how hard)- think of it this way, you're upset that she touched the BIKE (which you were just on- frankly, it's not even yours)... yet you touched HER. I also agree that she's being a baby and is over reacting. And since her overreaction (and refusal…

If you want to start jogging then go for it- but there's no pressing need if you're just doing it because you "think you should". As mentioned above, there are things you can do to make walking a harder workout in itself. But jogging can be fun (once you start making some gains :)) Definitely worth continuing to try, if…

Do you watch your form while running? I find that things start to ache and pain when I'm not being mindful of how I'm running. Whenever I notice an issue start to come up, I start watching how I'm running- making sure I'm moving symmetrically, back straight, tummy in and extending my legs further back (these are the issues…

As long as you're in your calories and hitting your nutrients, then that's awesome :)

Agreed with this and the post above it... I would definitely use it ornamentally, though probably not for actual accuracy, even if it does show proper numbers :) A digital scale would be much easier to work with

I tried quitting cold turkey when I first started but it led to binging, which was not something I had ever done before. A few repeats of that and I realized what I was doing, which scared me. Then I realized it wasn't all about cutting the bad stuff out, but more about cutting back and replacing it with an increased…

When I was in high school I was abt 10 lbs into the overweight category, yet I played field hockey and flag football and I was pretty strong (could lift much more than you'd think from looking at me). I would say I was fit and healthy, though overweight. And now, I'm basically back at the same place (abt 10lbs over),…

While I don't disagree with the above, I do think OP is at risk for an eating disorder, if not there already. OP, you really don't need to be trying to lose weight at the height and weight you're at. And justifying everything you're doing is a really bad sign. Consider why you're doing this. Are you trying to lose weight…

this sounds amazing :) will keep an eye out for it.... hope it's here too lol

great job ladies!!

I don't think it'd be rude... I mean, why would someone get offended over what you eat??? Just don't make a big deal about it (or complain that nothing is "healthy", especially if it's the hotel restaurant you're eating at! lol!)

This is awesome! Thank you so much!

If your scale has a "zero out" option then you can throw them all in the same bowl - add an item, weigh it, zero the scale and start again. If not, then you might want to add to the bowl after... unless you like math, in which case you can keep subtracting the totals to get the amt of that particular item. lol ETA: Tare…
