Good to know... unfortunately brown sugar is hard to come by here as well :( They don't have the same kind... it's this rock hard stuff called "gurd" (I think that's the spelling) and it's like... raw cane sugar more than the molasses type. I considered subbing that in but I really don't like the taste. I'm vegetarian on…

This. What if you get to an ideal weight and then gain weight after the marriage? If he can't commit to you as you are now, what if you get even heavier? What if you become heavier than your heaviest? Is he going to stay with you? Why marry a man who'll constantly have you thinking this? That leads down the road of…

Don't eat them if you're diabetic. Otherwise it doesn't really make a difference. If you enjoy it then go for it!

lol, I'd forgotten but I think so! I think he moved the episode on quickly cuz of that ETA: I've also just remembered- this episode made me seriously consider eating rabbit because I'm constantly insanely under my protein goals... before that I'd always thought I never could. Used to have one as a pet when I was younger!

Good list! I listen to: Woodkid - Iron (makes me feel epic), basement jaxx, icona pop, muse, all american rejects, shakira, robyn, some glee songs, some funk, some 80s stuff... I have a very random list, lol

I learnt this on QI :) And that's good to know, elusive!! Makes me wonder about some of the deli meats I have :noway:

I figured the same with the applesauce/strawberries... and in the first batch I made I considered whether removing the 1/2 cup would make a difference as well, which is why I used a full cup of juice instead of just half, plus 1/3 cup more strawberries... didn't seem to make any difference... I can't figure out why they…

that actually sounds great! will check it out

From what I've heard they're basically all protein... I don't think there would be any carbs

http://www.foodfaithfitness.com/strawberry-dessert-frozen/ Made this the other day- it's amazing! But could totally do with either a half cup or half the butter in the base... I used the full 3/4 cup as directed and it literally took double the time for the to cook.

I know that I don't have an issue with this, but an MFP friend from when I first joined did end up developing one.... So I definitely know that it is an issue. Luckily she was smart enough to get herself help and (hopefully) on to a better road, but she had to leave MFP to do it.

Bump to save! That looks awesome!

Awesome post to read- I always feel so horrible when I see people come on here with disorders, thinking losing more weight is what they want... Glad to see your story :flowerforyou:

pick yourself up, brush yourself off, do better next time.

The only reason this would work for some people is if they have problems with midnight binging (as I used to). I set a time restriction on myself because I would eat my calorie allotment for the day and then binge on random crap in the middle of the night. Once I got over that, I gave up the time restriction. The only…

I've always considered cereal and oatmeal as two different things.... Guess they're not since they're both grains? And oats are definitely slow release.. maybe because the cereal is so overprocessed? Just becomes empty carbs? (did not read that link)

Oatmeal is awesome... though I have to say, making it with milk seems to be more filling than making it with water... Tried it with water once and I was hungry very quickly after, where with milk I'm good for a few hrs.

80/20 rule... if you're eating well (hitting your macros) 80% of the time then that 1 binge day will not affect you negatively enough to make any difference. I still maintain what I said before though- working out will not negate it. You're still putting that food in your body, it still has to do something with it. The…

As everyone else has said, have a sensible dinner and move on tomorrow :) This is really just a bump to save that tdee link tho :blushing:

This is awesome!

I would assume that the gyms' scale would be more accurate... after all, that's their line of business... and I'm sure (hoping???) that they wouldn't use a scale which deliberately gave lower numbers... But frankly, you're here tracking how much you lose right? So if the scale you have at home says that, stick with it to…

You could try emailing them. I often email restaurants which don't list their nutritional value and they usually send it to me.

eggo ice cream sandwiches. It wasn't that regularly, but I loved them. Two eggo waffles, ice cream, syrup (preferably maple) and peanut butter. Smooshed together. Sometimes banana and nuts (walnuts...mmmm) in there too. Whatever was on hand. Drooling thinking about it. Funny thing is though, the reason I no longer have…

I did not read your post... because it's very long. So this is part "bump for later" and part me throwing my 2 cents in when I really shouldn't... but I think the reason the "ideal" diet is so disputed is because frankly.. who's to say what's ideal? Ideal in North America varies from north to south, while Asian,…

I read an article (wish I had saved it so I could share) which spoke about a study of runners... basically said that runners have been found to have worse body fat than others (can't remember the control group they used) because they fall into that "I run so I can eat whatever I want" line of thinking... I'm trying to lose…

I yelled at my brother in law and then didn't talk to him for a day because he put my food scale on top of the toaster oven and then later used it, which melted my scale. Looking back- on one hand I realize how silly and stupid it was but on the other hand I want him to buy me a scale and mail it to me to where I've now…
-
hmm try making recipes for everything you make (believe it's the last or second last tab under the food tab). Use the food scale to weigh how much of what you're putting in your dishes, and set the portions in a way where it's basically divisible by what you'll have of the dish (so you can log 1 portion of it). I think…

I don't generally delete because of extended absence, because I've done that myself and was happy to have friends who stayed with me. I delete if people become inactive though, lol. I've deleted people if their posts were either very negative, following 600 cal diets (whether medically supervised or not) or if they had an…

Great job on your loss! You look great!

This. While eating at 1200 cals is definitely not for everyone, those of us below avg height can handle less than avg cals and survive. Not that I'm doing it- with less than 20lbs to go I've increased to less of a drastic loss. But not everyone works out the same way, not everyone's built the same way and not everyone…
