A combination of exercises, orthotics and shoes. My feet are as flat as the floor, which can cause over pronation and no amount of exercise will raise my arch. I use a combination of all the above and average around 40 miles a week with little to no issues.

I would not weigh daily, not a good practice. I would suggest you pick a time and do it weekly, the same day and time each week. There are too many flucuations otherwise....

It is a safety issue but also a competition one, if the do not allow music you will see they probably do not allow any electronics including watches, etc. It is fairly common and if the race states it, it will probably be enforced.

I started with that program and now run 6 days a week and average around 40 miles per week. I wanted to increase the distance I could run, improve my times and increase overall milage. My base run (standard distance) is now 4.25 miles. I do shorter spped workouts and longer for endurance. I suggest you increase your…

I ate about 5200 in a single day, but I also ran 15 miles that day and needed them all. :)

A couple of things comes to mind... 1) are you balancing your workouts? Meaning are you cross training. You could be doing too much of one type of exercise and not enough of another and muscle development wouldn't be balanced. This is common with runners and cyclists, thigh and calf muscles get more developed than butt…

About 30-35 pounds for me before folks really started to notice, I took a big leap forward (NSV, people noticing) when I neared my gal weight and started to buy new clothes.

4-5 MPH is a good start, if you keep up with it you will be able to dramaticaly increse your speed. 18 months after I started I can do the 3.1 miles at 8.5 MPH.
-
I started with it and now average around 40 miles a week. Have run around 6 5k races, a 7.5k, a 10k and am training for a half marathon. It works!
-
Excellent work, keep it up. I started at 318 and i'm now at 185.

I run 6 days a week, minimum of 4.25 miles in the morning and a second run in the afternoon with a distance of 2-6 miles depending on weather and other factors. I also go to zumba with my wife 2 days a week and bicycle 30-50 miles a week in warmer weather.

Less carbs, more protein and DO NOT WEIGH YOURSELF EVERY DAY. :)

Excellent! I am off of Rx meds for both bloodpressure and cholesterol.

I started with this program 18 months ago and now run 35-40 miles a week. I have run several 5Ks and have been competitive, now training for a half marathon and possibly a marathon later in the year. I owe most of my weight loss to MFP and C25K.

I'm 6 pounds from my weight when I graduated college (1985), new wardrobe, great physical shape (average running 40 miles a week at 8 minutes a mile along with biking and cross training), now a competitive runner and probably 5-6 pounds away from having a six pack again. I think that is enough.... :)

Mix your distances.... some runs should be longer than the 5k distance, 7.5k is good distance and is about 4.75 miles; also need some speed workouts at 1.55k. I started running with the Couch to 5k program and I do around 40 miles a week now and regularily finish a 5k in around 24 minutes. It just takes time....

I have days when I have run 10-12 miles and had to eat 3200 calories +/- and I was still under by a good bit. As hard as i have worked, I will always be a fat kid at heart. Work hard and enjoy what you are doing, if your efforts are to stick then this is a lifestyle change and not a diet. The more you exercise, the more…

I would suggest you log EVERYTHING. This means everything you eat and drink as well as all of your exercise. I also suggest you eat 1/2 of your exercise calories. I have done this long enough and tested most scenarios and that is what worked best for me. Three suggestions: 1) Minimize what packaged and prepared foods you…

I NEVER reward with food, too easy to slip back in to bad habits since I previously rewarded, celebrated, mourned, whatever with food.

I am having skin issues myself but it is slowly tightening up as I continue to work out. I had a 6 pack 20+ years ago, would love to get back there but I don't know if it is possible without surgery.
-
For me that was the biggest NSV of them all! Keep it up!

sounds quite a bit like my plan, I was at 318 and I am now at 196. I run about 35-40 miles a week. I have done several 5ks and on Thanksgiving day I ran a 7.5k and won my age group with a 13th over all finish.
-
I joined in the hopes that I can help others. I was 318 pounds a little over a year ago and now I am at 196, more healthy than I have been in years. It can be done!

Depends on what you are doing. Running, zumba, etc. Need more info. to answer your question. :)

1 cup = 8 ounces

Thanks for the well wishes, I have other pics on my profile. If i can do this, anyone can.

Depends on how much you exercise. The more you work out, the more you burn, the more fuel you need. I eat all of mine and about how of those I burn working out.
-
Started with it and now run 35-40 miles a week.
-
15 months, have not waivered.

How much exercise are you getting? It is the key.
