I keep an open diary and just had a bunch of friends stop logging so I could use some new ones! I only show a 9 day streak right now because I was out of town and was having so much fun playing with my nephews that I forgot to log in for one day! Ugh!! My streak is ruined but it was well worth the play time!

I make a cup of hot tea. I buy it in fun flavors, like apple cinnamon, gingerbread, etc. They are decaf and have no calories and for some reason a hot drink fills up my stomach and makes me not feel hungry.

i love my spibelt! I already store my insulin pump in my bra so its out of room :) I completely forget that my spibelt is on and you can't see it under my shirt. I bought mine on Amazon.

I want to order longer tubng next time as well to try to put it in my butt region. I am starting to get a lot of hard bumps on my belly and its making those spots unusable again. I would like to give my stomach a break to see if those bumps will go away.

I started with the Mio infusion sets and had the same problem, they would constantly either kink or bend. If my blood sugar was high I would constantly wonder if it was due to an issue with the canula. I now use the Sure T set, which is metal but I love them. No bending or kinking and you don't have to worry if its…

Great ideas! The thought to roast my own tomates never even crossed my mind and I didn't realize that the dried beans would have a lower sodium content. I did buy the low sodium canned beans, the low sodium broth, etc but all of that low sodium really adds up. Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the feedback!

I take GNC Ultra nourish hair vitamins, 2 every morning and a folic acid pill. I notice a huge difference in my hair and nails. The downfall is that I have to have my roots touched up a lot more frequently now.

I have psoriasis and find that the thing that helps me the most is sunlight. I work in an office and don't get to spend much time outside so I go to a tanning bed. That really helps. I also use a lotion that contains ceramides. You can buy it at any store, its made by Aveeno and it helps better than any prescription lotion…

My insurance deductible just reset in July so yes, that is a big part of it. Last year I got my pump in November and I was responsible for about $2,000 of the cost so it took care of my deductible right away. They are telling me that after I hit my yearly deductible it should go down to around $400, which still sucks, but…

I have the same problem. I downloaded the app and tried running on my treadmill but its awful, even my slow jog hurts when i'm on the treadmill. For some reason as soon as i pick up the pace on the treadmill I get instant shin splints. I even went and got fitted at a running store for proper shoes. I find it much easier on…

Thanks! I'm going to take a little cooler that I normally use for my husbands lunch and some ice packs! I love to hang out in the ocean so I'll just be sure to get out every so often to test and probably have to take more bolus insulin.

Awesome work!! I am also 5'7" and started at 274! It is awesome to see someone who started out close to my stats!! What kind of diet/exercise plan have you been following? I am down 25 lbs so far and need to shake up my routine!

I have had my Jawbone Up 24 for 3 months now and I love it! I haven't had any problems (knock on wood). It may not be 100% accurate, but it motivates me. I can see if I am slacking and then try to get more movement in. I have a desk job and I love that I can set it to vibrate after being inactive for an hour, it reminds me…

I didn't get a chance to shop and prep on Sunday like I normally try to, so I had to pick up something easy for the week and it actually worked out good. I bought a bag of the Tyson Grilled and ready chicken breast from the freezer section and bags of lightly sauced steam fresh vegtables. I usually eat 2 pieces of the…

I don't know about you- but i'm an all or nothing kind of person. I have to dive in head first or else I can't keep myself in line. I gave up grain on March 31st. No bread, no rice, no pasta. I was just tired of taking so much insulin everyday and having so much extra weight on myself. I threw away all of my little…

You look amazing!!! I am also 5'7" and started at 274! I can't wait to have the success that you have had! Thanks for the motivation!

sorry about your new diagnosis. I've been at this for 23 years now and everyday I still learn something new! I wish I had some advice for you about the leg crams, but I do not. I do a lot of walking and was having leg and foot cramps while exercising but it was my shoes. I went to a running store and had them fit me for…

I went to the specialist today and after 3 hours of testing it was determined that I have a very mild case of retinopathy. I had a laser procedure in my right eye and have to get my left one done next month. He said tight control and I shouldn't have any more problems. I am more motivated than ever to stay on top of this…

6 oz of chicken breast ( which i had already cooked) and a box of green giant teriyaki frozen vegtables. Chop up my chicken and mix it in- tastes like a stirfry without the rice and comes in at 320 calories. I buy different boxes of vegtables to change it up everyday, but this has been my go-to lunch for the past week or…

That is awesome that you were able to correct our issue! I have an appointment with a specialist on Friday morning. I am worried that my lack of concern for this dieseae when I was in my teens and 20's is going to catch up with me now!

I started on March 31st and am down 16 lbs so far and have 107 left to go!! Please add me, I log daily and keep my diary open to friends!

Good idea! Thanks!

This happened to me in the beginning as well. I am on a pump so I called my doctor and we made adjustments to my basal rates. Also, an hour before I exercise I set my basal at 50%. I keep raw honey around all the time, I even found small enough bottles to keep in my purse, my desk, my car, etc. When my blood sugar drops I…

I have the new sensor as well but didn't realize that you could keep it in so long without changing it. I have been changing mine out every six days. I've noticed that it is a lot more accurate when I am eating correclty and logging everything in here. Prior to making changes to my eating habits, my sensor was all over the…

Thanks! I will check this out later when I am not at work :)

Thanks!! I am enjoying it!! I still do regular walking either outdoors or on my treadmill and have been doing this video at least 5 times a week! Love the strength training!!! I hope that you are loving it too!
